There is no press conference schedule at Joe Craft center as of 3:00pm today. This is straight from the horses mouth.

He stepped down as coach due to hip replacement surgery and the grueling travel with the NBA schedule. He is still the President/ GM of the Heat so he does know something about getting players. As far as recruiting, every talented kid coming into college is trying to figure out the quickest way to the NBA so Riley can use that to his advantage. He knows what it takes and would have an easy time convincing an NBA wannabee of that.

Saban didnt play at Alabama and came strictly for the $$$ and will leave for the same reason. Riley played at KY and has made more than he can spend already and would be coming with a purpose not motivated strictly by $$$.

If UK doesnt name a coach before the Final 4 then you can count on Izzo being the next UK coach.

First, cause anyone from KY understands the passion of the fans and knows the off the court politics involved with the job. Second, we need blue chip players now...who else can you get in here that could have a bigger impact on recruiting and motivating current players? There is a reason that Riley gets $50k per for his motivational speeches. He is considered one of the top speakers for motivational speaking. Third, he may just bring a little Rupp magic back.

We need KY ties. What about Pat Riley (you never know til you ask). Get Riley for 2-3 years and when hes ready to move on, hopefully we will have just won the Final 4 and Travis Ford or John Pelphrey can step in and keep the big blue rolling.

Great Season for the Hounds. One game does not make or break the season. Congratulations to the excellent group of Seniors and good luck in the future. The Hounds will be good next year too and will be one of the teams to beat for the 13th Region crown along with South and Clay Co.

Thanks for the info, Faxisfax. It looks like a very close matchup in size. Corbin is 5'10", 6'2", 6'4", 6'4" and 6'5".

What is Eastern's size? Won't strong 6'4" and 6'5" experienced post players be big enough who also did a fantastic job on one of the states best big men in Matt St John (6'9") in the region final? I cant imagine their guards being any better than Sanford of Lex Cath and I think he would be the first to tell you that Madison Johnson(6'4") and Josh Smith (6'2") can put the "D" on you. The question may be, can Eastern match up with Corbin's very physical inside game? Win, lose or draw...Eastern will know that theyve been in a war when this game is over.

Corbin will have 3 returning starting seniors and a host of players who have had the luxury of practicing against the 4 outgoing seniors. I look for Corbin to be a very good team next year along with SL and Clay Co.

Great Win! Congratulations to Tony and the whole team. Also congratulations to Coach Wright and Coach Conway...both of those guys showed alot of class after losing to the Hounds. As a Corbin fan, I have alot of respect for these coaches and the example that they set for their teams.

Its hard to play an uptempo style when you only play 5 or 6 players. Fatigue takes over early in the 2nd half. SL wins by 14

I dont understand your comment. Are you saying that somehow the refs all decided prior to the game that Corbin would be the chosen team last night?

I like the way the officiating is done in the state tourney. The calls are made and no refs going over to bench having to explain why he made the call or non call...unlike it was last night in the District final.

There were many missed calls on both ends so they kind of take care of themselves. There was one particular ref who spent way too much time talking to the coach from SL before during and after each whistle. I know coach Wright likes to "work" the refs (I'd do the same) but it sure gives the opposing team and fans the wrong perception when the ref seems to cater to his every gesture.
