Corbin is playing some outstanding basketball right now. I hope the 13th gets a good draw for the state tournament. If Corbin makes it, and I think they will, they could be playing on Saturday.

Corbin is playing okay, I really expected a larger margin of victory with Breathitt County scoring in the forties. It did not sound like Corbin had brought anything near their A game.

That has to be the craziest statement I have heard in a while. CORBIN IS PLAYING OK!!!!!!!:confused: My goodness a 29 point victory over a tough nosed mountain team and you are still only playing OK!!!! Well I am sorry but to score 90 points to have for sure 6 maybe 7 players in double figure scoring and they arent playing good. Lets not forget about the 13 game winning streak they are riding too. I actually agree with you. Corbin didn't play their best game, but they won. I think that's also a sign of really good team - to win when you don't play your best. Either way, I'll take a 29 point win against anyone following a tough game on the road.

Thanks, I really believe that Corbin has more in them than they showed tonight and when they play their best ball they can beat any team in the state.

South Laurel's coaching staff must think the Hounds are playing pretty good too as their assistant, R Denny was in attendance with his notepad for the umpteenth time this season.

Denny was sitting in the middle of Bobcat fans behind the bench. I guess they were watching from different angles and hoping 2 heads are better than 1.

Roscoe used to coach up there. He maybe interviewing for a job up there in the near future.....he is a gem of a guy.

 

 

Not sure he liked what he saw tonight though.

Corbins' JV won another one today too. Breathitt did have a couple of good 3 point shooters. Corbins JV has the luxury of playing against a very good varsity team every day in practice. Coach West is doing a good job with them.

True, I would not expect the Hounds to fall off the radar the next few seasons. Coach P has a fine staff that does a good job of readying the next troup to battle for the 13th region each season. I see lots of good players coming up next year to help Manns, Wilson and Johnson. Travis Smith is rounding into shape and Brody Freeman has some quickness out there on both ends. Once all the injuries heal, look for Josh Hopkins to show his talents more and more as well.
