Good win for Corbin :thumb:

Hey Bubba, I'll be sure to tell Roscoe what you said. I'm sure he'll find it funny. But then again, you might beat me to the punch.

 

Well to be honest me and Roscoe might have to cut our own soundtrack soon.....Basketball Blues...or some like that. We are both musical geniuses from what I hear. I am more of the Instrumental type and he can provide the vocals. We may give the Marshall Trucker band a run for their money next year at NIBROC.

I'm not sure he likes your type of music. You've been singing the blues the past couple of years, while his has been more of the Queen-type music. LOL.

True, I would not expect the Hounds to fall off the radar the next few seasons. Coach P has a fine staff that does a good job of readying the next troup to battle for the 13th region each season. I see lots of good players coming up next year to help Manns, Wilson and Johnson. Travis Smith is rounding into shape and Brody Freeman has some quickness out there on both ends. Once all the injuries heal, look for Josh Hopkins to show his talents more and more as well.

 

I agree. Corbin has some nice young players coming up and I like the enthusiasm coach Crawford brings to the table. His addition was a good one for coach P.:thumb:

 

Harlan County has some VERY nice talent coming up and the South Laurel eighth grade won the region tourney Saturday over Clay, while Knox Central beat Corbin in the seventh grade tourney.

South Laurel also had a very good seventh grade team, but they didn't play in the regional tourney.

Corbin is playing okay, I really expected a larger margin of victory with Breathitt County scoring in the forties. It did not sound like Corbin had brought anything near their A game.

 

They were also coming off a long road trip the night before against Wayne County. And, that's not an easy place to play. Breathitt is better than what most people give credit to and I'm sure any coach would take a 29-point win anytime of the year.:thumb:

Corbins' JV won another one today too. Breathitt did have a couple of good 3 point shooters. Corbins JV has the luxury of playing against a very good varsity team every day in practice. Coach West is doing a good job with them.

 

What is Corbin's JV record? Have they lost to anyone in the region?

Corbin looks solid for the next several years. Their staff has done a good job this year of getting some of the younger kids playing time.
