WILDMAN Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 This is the 3rd and final regular season matchup between these two. Corbin won the first by 10 or 12 and second by 18-20. Both games were at Corbin. How do the Hounds stack up with the Cards in London? Does SL go in thinking we can't beat these guys? Does Corbin go in thinking it's going to be another cake walk or do both teams come in ready for battle in this intense rivalry? I think South Laurel will try to make this a slow down game. Corbin is going to have to dictate the tempo. Like them or not, Coach Wright and company know how to prepare. The more they see you, the more they learn. I expect Corbin to pull out this one 52-46
addout Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 South may try and slow it down but I'm still going with Corbin 65-55.
Redhound0934 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Most of the time I consider this game a coin toss. This one's no different.
The Fossil Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I guarantee you that neither team is thinking that the game is going to be a "cake walk". SL just lost 2 in a row and will be focused on getting a win. Corbin remembers losing 4 out of 5 last season to SL, which should really be a big motivator. Corbin also stays focused on getting to RUPP and wins by 9.
Commander 25 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 This still will be a great matchup. I will take SL in this one by 3.
WCSportsFan Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Close game till the end and Corbin will pull away to win by 12. 68-56
Cawoodball player Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Different venue, same result. Corbin wins!
MountainThunder Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 South has to play better than they did the past 2 games. I think playing 2 tough teams like Lex Cath and Warren Central will show them what they have to work on. I think this will be a closer game than the first two. I will pick the upset in this one and be a homer! S L 65 Corbin 64
Redhound0934 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Besides the final score being a toss-up...If mother nature has her way the game even being played may be a toss-up!!!
Leonidas Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I think Corbin is a 15-20 point better team than SL if all is equal. All is not equal in this one and I see Roscoe Denny giving SL a shot with defense but I will still take Corbin by 10.
