There ya go ....

The weather is expected to be worse on Thursday than it was last night. May have to cancel again.

I'm not sure if that was a sarcastic remark or not, but it's supposed to be sunny with a high of 37 tomorrow.

It was 44 degrees by 6:00pm, last night . I am not sure what the gate will be,what the temperature will be, but I sure hope this game gets to be played without disruptions tomorrow. Whitley and Bell county were able to get their game in yesterday and Bell was travelling a much farther distance.

The game should have been played yesterday, not sure why it wasn't, although it doesn't really matter. Maybe someone didn't want to miss American Idol.:idunno:

The bottom line is that it's going to be played tomorrow.

Deleting quote, Rule #14

Dogman...You're right, the game will be played when its played. However, you along with everyone else knows that the game should have and could have been played last night.

As I have said before, SL's program is top-notch and they deserve a lot of respect. Unfortunately, they made a bad decision not to play the game last night. They were looking for a reason to cancel the game as early as Sunday. You can quote me on that.

Furthermore, how can you explain Bell and Whitley getting their game in? I just don't get it. SL can beat any given team on any given night - including Corbin. People would show up to a game between the Redhounds and the Cardinals in a blizzard much less a rain storm.

My question remains. What would SL think if it had been Corbin who cancelled?

Exactly! Seems like the Cards were trying to rest up from some hard fought games in the Hoop Fest. The game has to be played before 2/11/09. So we better get r done.

Amen. It would have taken more than a little rain to keep the fans away. They used the weather to their advantage ---they know it ----and they will have to live with the comments . . . . it could have and should have been played last night. We will come ready tomorrow though, you can bet your sweet bippy on that one.:D

I agree it should have been played Tuesday night. However if everything was reversed Corbin would have called the game off also. It was in South's best interest to cancel and play later. They may have better legs with a few more days off, but they are still coming off of two losses and if Corbin comes out early and gets up, it will get in their heads as it would any team.

It sounds like we are on the same page - it was definately in SL's best interest to play the game later in the week. In your earlier posts, the implication was that mother nature was the main reason for the change and not strategy.

One thing I think I need to make clear is there is absolutely no way that Corbin would have cancelled the game if road conditions were passable - as they were last night. You can take that to the bank!!!! Whether they are the butt kickers or the butt kickees they would've played the game.

I agree Corbin would have played, but if it would have help their team they should not have played. I guess what I am trying to say is I understand why South did not want to play with what they had done over the weekend.

Shouldn't South have thought of that when they scheduled the game originally?

I understand the reason as well. I am just disappointed that a program with such a high level of respect in this area and across the state would not choose to take the high road. They agreed to the schedule. If they didn't want to play such a tough schedule they have no one else to blame but themselves.
