Corbin 59 SL 52

Corbin 73 South Laurel 57
Devan Downey for South Carolina is proving what a 5'9 guard who knows what to do, is worth right now against UK.

Having Isaac on the floor is like having a coach out there. Heck, he has better basketball IQ than most coaches, much less the players. He is absolutely a steal for any small college.

Corbin 73 South Laurel 57
Les, I agree on the officiating...absolutely the worst refereed game Ive seen in a long time...on both ends. The game wasnt as close as the score states...Corbin missed many close in shots and several foul shots. Corbin also seemed to go into the "slow down game" with about 5 min to go. Corbin plays much better in attack mode, IMO. I definitely want to give credit to Matt St John for the intimidation factor on some of those missed shots too.

Corbin/Whitley County Predictions
........then why do it? Hounds by 9 only because theyre at Whitley and Whitley treats this game like it makes or breaks their season. Not saying Corbin doesnt view it as important, it is.

Cumberland Falls Invitational Tournament
After getting off to a 24-1 1st Qtr start, Corbin overwhelms TN Notre Dame by 50ish. Corbin also takes 1st & 2nd in Dunk Contest and 2nd in the 3 point contest.

Cumberland Falls Invitational Tournament
As far as the look test goes, both look very big and athletic. Its well worth the price of admission to see just this game but the others will be good too...especially when you throw in some free UK Basketball tickets and cash prizes :ylsuper:each night.

Breathitt County 79 Corbin 78
Congratulations to the Bobcats. Corbin played well enough to win this game but lost it at the FT line. You cant shoot under 50% from the line and expect to win against good teams. :deadhorse:

Corbin 56 South Laurel 55
Aside from Matt St John (obviously), I dont think any of South's players would make it into Corbin's top 6 or 7 spots.

Corbin 56 South Laurel 55
He has been in the line up since the start of the preseason scrimmages. IMO, Corbin allowed South back in the game due to not putting the ball in Wilson's hands during the 3rd qtr. and seemed to be determined to keep it out of Wilsons hands for a long period of time. Corbin turned it over repeatedly during that late 3rd- early 4th qtr meltdown. I dont believe Stewart or Jones got in at all. It appears that 4 or 5 players are competing for 1 or 2 positions therefore minutes are going to be very limited to those 4 or 5 players.

13th Region Tournament goes to The Arena
This is beating on a dead horse... This is water under the bridge... This is old news... This is...well, you get the picture.

13th Region Tournament goes to The Arena
Donations are gifts, not investments. If your small business is relying on a Region Basketball tournament that comes around once every 7+ years, you must have one heck of a mark up. How does a teacher working 40 hours per week compare to your job of working one week every 7 years? :idunno:

13th Region Tournament goes to The Arena
Gone is the tradition of inadequate parking, clearing the gym and then standing in line to see if you get to buy a ticket for the next game, sitting with someones knees in your back, lack of restrooms, poor ventilation, longer drives, lack of good dining choices before and after games, etc...

13th Region Tournament goes to The Arena
Good. Very Good! Sounds like the vast majority of those who voted, used some common sense.

Comments on Ky Hardwood Classic Corbin Arena.
Great place to host the 13th region tournament.

Vote on The Arena will happen before January, 2010
You keep forgetting that this issue isnt a Corbin thing...this is a Region thing and what is more beneficial for the entire Region, not just Harlan or Corbin. Its all about making things more fan friendly.

Thats what I get for attending Cawood...

Vote on The Arena will happen before January, 2010
1. The town of Corbin happens to be way more centrally located for all 13th Region fans, than Harlan. 2. The town of Corbin happens to have the only nuetral site. 3. The Arena is way more fan friendly ie. seat comfort, parking, access, and dining choices. 4. Every school (not just Harlan) benefits economically with The Arena hosting. I could go on...

Could The Arena in Corbin begin hosting the 13th region tourney?
What about those who were unlucky enough to have to sit in the aisles? For those who didnt get reserved seats and had to sit in the bleachers, they were packed in like a can of sardines, too. Those people would have appreciated more space... All seats at The Arena are premium chair seats with ample space for the "larger people".
