It appears that "UKfan8" still has a case of sour grapes over The Arena hosting the event, which was voted on by all schools in the 13th Region. The media hospitality room is not required. NL chose to offer something instead of nothing. Twice as many tickets were sold for the first round of girls play this year, than last. The Arena doesnt force people to attend just because there was a ticket sold. The only legitimate gripe presented by "UKfan8" is the high cost of concessions. The best way to change that is to not buy any and then management will get the hint during the next year. All seating is good with chairbacks. There is no time when you feel like your in a bench seat in the upper level of Rupp. Parking, ingress and egress is better than any previous Region Tournament held. Plenty of restaraunts close by too.

IMO...this thread shouldnt even be on here. Its fine to talk about a players performance and abilities but discussing the kids medications and related issues should only be discussed by the kid and his parents, doctors and potential NBA team during his private evaluation. Would any of us want our kids' medical info discussed publicly?

Devan Downey for South Carolina is proving what a 5'9 guard who knows what to do, is worth right now against UK.

Having Isaac on the floor is like having a coach out there. Heck, he has better basketball IQ than most coaches, much less the players. He is absolutely a steal for any small college.

Les, I agree on the officiating...absolutely the worst refereed game Ive seen in a long time...on both ends. The game wasnt as close as the score states...Corbin missed many close in shots and several foul shots. Corbin also seemed to go into the "slow down game" with about 5 min to go. Corbin plays much better in attack mode, IMO. I definitely want to give credit to Matt St John for the intimidation factor on some of those missed shots too.

Well lets see...if ol "Ash" gets her way, 84,000 KY citizens who work either directly or indirectly in the coal industry will be without jobs. When all those folks lose their homes in KY, maybe they could all move to Nashville TN (not even in KY) and live on her estate? She has a right to be a UK fan, but she shouldnt advocate to take away our jobs.

After getting off to a 24-1 1st Qtr start, Corbin overwhelms TN Notre Dame by 50ish. Corbin also takes 1st & 2nd in Dunk Contest and 2nd in the 3 point contest.

As far as the look test goes, both look very big and athletic. Its well worth the price of admission to see just this game but the others will be good too...especially when you throw in some free UK Basketball tickets and cash prizes :ylsuper:each night.

Congratulations to the Bobcats. Corbin played well enough to win this game but lost it at the FT line. You cant shoot under 50% from the line and expect to win against good teams. :deadhorse:

Aside from Matt St John (obviously), I dont think any of South's players would make it into Corbin's top 6 or 7 spots.

He has been in the line up since the start of the preseason scrimmages. IMO, Corbin allowed South back in the game due to not putting the ball in Wilson's hands during the 3rd qtr. and seemed to be determined to keep it out of Wilsons hands for a long period of time. Corbin turned it over repeatedly during that late 3rd- early 4th qtr meltdown. I dont believe Stewart or Jones got in at all. It appears that 4 or 5 players are competing for 1 or 2 positions therefore minutes are going to be very limited to those 4 or 5 players. :confused:
