Congrats to the Lions. I was off on my prediciton. Does anyone have stats for the game? Or can you take a guess at the point totals for the individuals from both teams?

Im aware they are usually ready, but after seeing them play recently, I dont see them being able to beat Raceland at Raceland. Im hoping Im wrong, but I will be somewhat surprised if Lewis County/Hampton are able to win.

Raceland by 8. Everyone says Hampton has his team ready this time of year, but after seeing there performance against Bourbon Co., they have a long way to go to prepare for post season play.

This was the first game Mason Co. has been able to hit free throws. If they shoot this well from the line they can play with anyone.

Who officiated this game?

The officiating wasnt ideal but I wouldnt say thats what cost Lewis Co the game. This is more of a time where Lewis played poorly and beat themselves. They werent able to rebound the ball over a smaller Bourbon Co team. Im not sure if Bourbon scored more than 10 points outside the paint yet Coach Hampton continued to play man and let Bourbon get many 2nd chance points. And this might be the first time Ive seen Lewis Co play a game that slowly. They started the 1st and 3rd qtr pushing the ball up the floor and scored easily. However, they walked the ball up the floor the rest of the game and had trouble scoring in there half court offense. Im not sure if they are expecting Raceland to try to slow the game down but thats the only reason I can figure out why they played so slowly.

I heard there was something like 8 turnovers in the 4th quarter for LC. You wont beat anyone if you cant take care of the ball any better than that down the stretch. Good win for West Carter.

Lewis County will be making up the days of school they missed by I'm guessing taking away some of spring break and adding days on in June. However, you cant make the games up you miss in June so it is important to get as many games as you can in when scheduled. And yes, there are many roads that are difficult for a bus to drive on especially when the weather is not ideal. Let the kids play their games if possible.

I dont think many teams this month have had an answer for Setty. From what I have read, and one game Ive seen, he has really improved from earlier in the season. I knew he had a great amount of potential, but I wasnt expecting him to put up numbers his sophmore year like he has the past month. Great to see him playing well.

Can you explain why Raceland gets the #1 seed over Lewis is Russell were to beat Greenup? I thought head-to-head matchups meant something, and Lewis beat Raceland. :confused:

With only 1 district game left, how do the rankings look as of now? Im going to guess and say: 1. Lewis Co. 2-1 (loss to Greenup) 2. Raceland 2-1 (loss to Lewis) 3. Greenup 1-1 (loss to Raceland) 4. Russell 0-2 (losses to Lewis and Raceland) If Greenup were to beat Russell (which they did earlier in the season), I would think they would jump to #1. Not sure how this will work, but I dont think it will matter the point total or differential of the games, but then again, maybe it will. Can someone confirm if these standings are right and if they will be right if Greenup were to beat Russell?

Wow! A bold statement. I will agree that Greenup Co. has played the best ball lately, but you dont feel they have a better chance of beating Russell than they do Raceland or Lewis Co? I must say if I were a Greenup Co. fan (which Im not, in fact Im the opposite), I would prefer to have the #1 seed and play Russell in the 1st round rather than play Raceland at their home court or Lewis Co. in the districts. JMO, but calling the 63rd theirs this early is a stretch. Theres a lot of time for things to happen between now and districts.

Mason Countys defense is phenomonal. I was really impressed at Phil Barners Intensity level, I feel he could shut down some of the top players in the state.

After seeing the two play each other earlier in the season I would give the edge to GC. I would like to see LC play tougher on defense and cause more turnovers. I'll take GC by 8.

I believe this is the PG for Harrison Co. I seen him play a couple of games, and theres no way he should be mentioned as one of the top PG. Hes a good player, but doesnt compare to others on the list. PS: They have him listed as a center on the roster on BGP.

I heard Lewis Co. by 8. I also heard that players had to be taken off the court because Lee Co. fans were fighting amongst themselves. I dont have any details other than that.

Ive never seen a team of Mason Co's quality struggle to shoot free throws like they do. Until they can become a better ft shooting team, they will have a hard time winning close games. They played well, but should have won by hitting from the line. Good win for Scott Co.

Does Scott Co. play their games at their high school or at Georgetowns gym?

Greenup has a better ball team than I expected them to have this year. East has really been struggling lately. East begins to turn there season around with a win over Greenup. 58 - 46.

Mediocre. He had problems with Rose Hills size and wasnt able to hit outside the paint. He didnt make his free throws like usual, hes normally automatic from the line. He plays hard and plays a lot of minutes, but I think he would really benefit if he became quicker. He catches the ball on the ark, drives the paint, but then has to fade away because he hasnt gotten by anybody. I really like the way he plays, love to see him continue to play hard and improve.
