Les
Mason might just win the 10th Region again.
polarbear1994
Certainly closer than what many would have thought... Not I. Figured the Royals would keep it close.
1998bluecollar
Sounded like a great game. Congrats SC!
el gato
Mason was up 2 with the ball less than a minute to go. After a long delay to tend to a fan who needed medical attention, Middleton missed the front end of the bonus. Scott Co. gets back to back old fashioned 3pt plays sandwiched around another Middleton miss of a front end and Scott Co. scored the last 9 points. gold sunrise
Great game to listen to. Mason losing two players really hurt them, but was very proud the way they keep fighting to the end.
Wireman
Mason almost had the game in the bag. Then, out of nowhere, a fan collapses behind the bench and the game is delayed 5 minutes. Middleton then misses the front end of the bonus and Scott County gets a 3-point play. Game over at that point.
dryz93
Well the thing is Middleton, who was a great player, was missing free throws all night long so i dont think the delay had much to do with it.

bigblueinsanity
If Mason Co isn't the best team in the region at this point they are right on GRC heels. If the fan doesn't go down. Russ sinks these 2 free throws and game over. But it didn't happen that way. Mason Co played great. If you would have told me that Mason Co would be up 2 with around 1:06 to play and Pawsat wouldn't play any of the 2nd half I would have loved to take this. This IMO is a big boost to Mason Co showing they can play and almost beat the best team in the state.
Dawg81
Personally I thought the score would have been a lot different. Good win for SC.
All In
Mason almost had the game in the bag. Then, out of nowhere, a fan collapses behind the bench and the game is delayed 5 minutes. Middleton then misses the front end of the bonus and Scott County gets a 3-point play. Game over at that point. Unfortunately think the delay played very much into the outcome of this game, took the wind out of the sails for the Royals. Momentum swung big time. Delay seemed a lot longer than 5 minutes. dryz93
I will have to give Mason County a lot of credit tonight, im a Scott County fan and if you guys aren't condsidered the best in the 10th by now there's something wrong. Seeing that Scott has played both Mason and Clark, you guys clearly have the edge especially with a player like Russ Middleton that can clearly just take over a game. Also, hes not gonna have to play the entire game against Clark County which im guessing is one of the reasons he had trouble at the line tonight. lewiscoref
Ive never seen a team of Mason Co's quality struggle to shoot free throws like they do. Until they can become a better ft shooting team, they will have a hard time winning close games. They played well, but should have won by hitting from the line. Good win for Scott Co.
