Isnt it odd that we consider Mason the underdog? Though Mason beat my Elliott twice last year, I was hoping they would pull this out because they were the underdog in this one. But hey what an effort againest one of Ky's best.

I'm am so proud of the Royals! You played awesome. I thought there were a couple of game changers tonight. When Pawsat got hurt the Royals were up by 11 points. Neal is a force on the inside and was missed! Jordan Gilbert played well off the bench and what can you say about Middleton's play? The wait for the injured fan at the end of the game definitely had an impact. How could it not? This was a great high school basketball game and could have gone either way at the end. I think that you proved tonight that tradition never graduates!

Great high school basketball game. Mason probably deserved this game more than Scott Co. They hustled and played very hard all night. Georgetown College will have the best backcourt in the NAIA next year with Walls and Middleton.

If your a fan of high school basketball this annual game is one to go to. The 2 teams reall got after each other. Middleton had a great game. He came out really hot and was pretty consistent from that point on. I was also impressed with Barner. He got a lot of rebounds and battled. Mason Co. really got after it. At this point I would give them a slight nod over Clark Co.

As for Scott Co. I thought Chad Jackson was big all night and Phares had a nice game. Also I thought Guyn's strong 2nd half was a big difference. I believe that both these teams are top 10 teams in the state.

Sounds alot closer than I thought but this could very well be a good loss for Mason Co if there is such a thing. I think their proving if their clicking on all cylinder, and can somehow start making more free throws that they are the team to beat in the 10th, but right now I still see it as a two team race with Scott High creeping in the shadows! Great showing Royals!

Ive never lost anything in my life and thought man that was a good loss. :lol: Seriously what Mason Co. can do is hold their head up and realize that IMO anyway they played their hearts out.

I just got back and this game was amazing. Instant Classic. I honestly thought that Mason had this game the whole time until the last 4 minutes. Ge-Lawn stepped up his game and Chad Jackson played great. Chad had to pick up the slack because Ge-Lawn and Dakota REALLY struggles from the field. Richie is a great center and I am becomiong more impressed by him every game I go to. As for Mason what else can you say about Middleton. He carried the Royals on his back and I think just ran out of gas at the end of the game. He is a great player and deserves a lot of credit. That atmosphere was great the fans were great it was a lot of fun to be around.:thumb:

Nothings ever a good loss but it shows them they can compete now with every top team in the state right now and might not be as down as people think they are. Their still a scary team to face any night and will give every team a run for their money!

Just got back from Georgetown,Might i add this is a great little town .Congrats to Scott County on finding a way to pull this one out.Big congrats to the Royals you guys played your tails off and had this one in the bag I'm so proud of you.Royals lost Neal Pawsat mid way through the 2nd for the game as he took an elbow to the forehead and was basically knocked out,Neal get well soon.Royals lead this game probably 75% of the way even without Pawsat,But the Cards and Chad Jackson found a way.On to Pendleton County Tuesday.

I was a little off on my prediction. Hats off to the Royals. Sounded like they played their hearts out.

Mason almost had the game in the bag. Then, out of nowhere, a fan collapses behind the bench and the game is delayed 5 minutes. Middleton then misses the front end of the bonus and Scott County gets a 3-point play. Game over at that point.

They stopped this one for at least 5 minutes - right before Mason was to shoot a 1-and-1 free throw. After the long break, he missed the front end and the rest was history...
