mhighfield Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Final from Bryan Station high school in Lexington.Impressive road win over a top 15 team in Station on the road. The 3 sophs done most of the damage for Mason tonight.Next up Montgomery County tomm night at the Fieldhouse to end the regular season.
Qryche11 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 This IMO is a shocker, especially in Lexington. Nice win for Mason Co heading into the 10th Region tourney. This has to put them up as the favorite to win it.

bigblueinsanity Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 This maybe was Mason Co's best game of the year. They averaged 71 points a game, and Mason Co holds them to a season low 41. Good Job Guys.
bigblueinsanity Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 No its GRC to loose. GRC is even with Mason Co.
Qryche11 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 GRC is even with Mason Co. I agree, when its all said and done Mason County will be right there vying for another trip downstate.
gold sunrise Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Very impressive win by Mason! I agree. Congrats Royals. Mason Co wraps up their regular season tomorrow night against Montgomery Co.
ColonelMike Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 What's up with Bryan Station? Beat Holmes early in the season; lots of tough times since... injuries?
Lion Mania Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Wow!! The 19 point spread in the Defender's House is a surprise. Bryan Station seems to be unraveling at a bad time with post season right here. Mason or GRC in the 10th?? Pick one. To close to call. Congrads to Mason on a great performance in Lexington!!!
Eta Rho Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 ^^^ I was wondering the same thing. What's up with the Defenders? Seems like since they lost to Holmes by 18, they've been in a downward spiral. I know Morones was out for a while with an illness, but what happened to the team we saw at the beginning of the year? Congrats to Mason on the W though. Very impressive win on the road.
mcpapa Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Scores by quarter: MCHS 16 9 19 16 60 BSHS 12 8 7 14 41 For the folks asking what's wrong with the Defenders; here's a casual fan's take; based on one game so take it with a grain of salt. Very little in the way of offensive options inside. Lots of one-on-one from the three guards. Precious few fouls drawn, resulting in precious few trips to the line. Didn't get aggressive with the press until it was too late. What was right with the Royals: Markedly improved free-throw shooting, nice floor game from Middleton, inside and outside offense from Setty and Pawsat who were able to take their defenders to the basket, good passing from Barner; improved play overall in the critical third quarter to break open a close game. I have been critical in the past of some of the fan support for the Lexington-based teams, but there was a nice crowd at Bryan Station tonight. Beautiful school, by the way. I'm not sure they were prepared for the Mason County following; I think I got the next-to-last diet pop at halftime. Congrats to the Royals on a very nice road win in the 11th. Good luck in the regular-season finale tomorrow; papa and family have another obligation. See you Monday night.:thumb:
