Rose Hill pretty much returns everyone on their team and from what I have heard has a nice point guard addition to the team as well which will allow more freedom for Jackson. The Royals are going to be a team to reckon with along with Elliot County in the 16th Region. Until Elliot gets knocked off by someone in the 16th Region the Lions are the team to beat.

With two kids ranked in the top 75 nationally in their class I would rank Rose Hill in the top 25 along with Elliot County.

Leach will get Greenup on track, he did a good job at Kentucky Christian.

Robbie Harris did all he could. Ended his career with an excellent effort, only gave up three hits and pitched his heart out. A really good kid who I see only great things in his future. Hopefully we will see him pitching somewhere on the next level.

This will be one tough team to beat at the Gus Macker.

I cannot say enough how happy and proud I am for Britt. She is a hard working young lady that I am honored to have got to know over the past three years. I expect great things from her at UL and Britt is a great example of what hard work and great family support can do for a young person. God bless you Britt.

Like I said, I don't know anything about this first hand, and I don't know the answer as far as if or when Euton would be eligible to play. May just be a lot of nothing, I don't know.

The following is something that was sent to me from someone. I have ZERO personal knowledge of how true any of this is, I am just posting what they sent to me. I am just wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this. I cannot say who sent this to me, I can say that they know the region really well but once again I want to make it clear that I am only posting what they sent to me and I cannot say whether or not this is happening. "Inside Source says that Boyd County Lady Lions Head Coach Pete Fraley is going to apply for the top assistant coach for the Boyd County Boys Program which is going to be directed by Roger Zornes. Zornes will be able to take an already competetive coach in Fraley and groom for the Head Coaching job one day for the boys. Also my inside source states that the Boyd County Administration is going to pursue two time regional winner and State Runner Up - Coach Pam Euton from Rose Hill Christian a nearby private school in Ashland, to take over for the struggling Lady Lions. Along with Coach Euton will be her Freshman Phenom son Dakota Euton. If Coach Euton decides to take the job Dakota would be eligible to play this coming year for one of the greatest coaches ever in the 16th region in Roger Zornes. If this deal pan outs then Boyd County will for sure be a team to be reckoned with for years to come both in girls and in boys."

I think Boyd returns all area player Selby and beyond that I am not sure. The district is going to be good this upcoming season with Fairview having a lot of young talent, Ashland will have Thomas back, Rose Hill will be loaded so whoever takes over is going to have their hands full just within the 64th.

Phil has represented Boyd County well as a player and as a coach. Truly he was one of the best role models for young men in this area and I wish him nothing but the best for the future.

I read in the paper this morning that Scott Gill would be playing for former Tomcat coach Paul Patterson at Taylor University. Happy to see that Scott will be playing college ball. Over the past three years I would submit that Scott Gill has been the best all around athlete in the 16th region and with that hard work he put in to accomplish what he has in high school he should continue to do well in college. Good luck and best wishes to a nice young man.

They have some talent coming in there and should be a great team to watch, they might surprise some peopel this year.

^ I think so too. Over the past ten seasons he was the best package of athletic ability and basketball ability I have seen out of Boyd County High School and that is saying something with some of the talent they have had there.

That makes him 11-1 over the last two years, wow. This is the second or third time he has beat them over his career I think. Big win for the Eagles, should give them a confidence boost heading into the districts.

A friend of mine had said that Antonio was looking to maybe go there, I hope he does great. If he had been able to play in the region for three years it is hard to say what kind of numbers he might have put up.

I think there should be an episode on "24" about the Red Devils only having one player, maybe Jack Bauer can save the day for the poor down trodden Russell fans that feel jilted.

That is awesome, Georgetown is a great school.

The two girls from Russell were very good, but IMO Terry and Queen were the best that the 16th Region had. :thumb:

I know that Bobby Trimble loves the coaching job he has but I would love to see him take the boys job if offered to him. I played ball with him in high school and always thought he would do a great job as the boys coach and with the great job he did with the girls this year he showed that he is an excellent coach.

I think that he may have attended a prep school, I am not sure though. Outstanding player for Boyd County last year.

I see him at the Ashland YMCA fairly often, not really sure what his plans are.
