I am probably the only one that does that, my connection to small schools in the Ashland area does that for me. One of the few perks of the small school thing.

No, I thought Boyd was not athletic enough and Ashland could not win if they tried to run the court with you guys, which their coach made the mistake of doing. I do like Ferguson a lot, hopefully he will get to play out of the post more because if he gets to play at a big school it will be as a guard or wing player at least.

Not me, never lost a game to them in high school and I see Rocky and talk to him all of the time. I think they are a good team, hope they lose in the first round of state though. Tired of people over hyping them. They had the easiest run to the state tournament of any team in the region. First Boyd County, a team they had already beat. Then a weak and injured Russell team and last a team from Blazer they had already beat. So these people on here going on about what a tough run they had was not right, the facts show that. Don't know a thing about Shelby Valley but I will be rooting for them very hard.

Boyd County has a very good baseball field.

Oh, and by the way. You don't get to decide who wins or loses anything on here. Neither one of us does.

If they are average why do they need to be held back? Can't they just step up their work ethic instead of being held back? If they are below average then another year should not make a difference either, most likely they may move up to "average" with the extra year but then that is not good enough either, right? The biggest benefactors of the holdbacks are AAU teams and parents who are trying to live through their kids on the field or the court.

Know what is impressive though? Kid from Louisville's football team is 19 and graduated and will be one of the first round picks in the NFL draft. Wow, imagine how good he could have been if he had been held back two or three times?

No, they should not change the rule because I think it is wrong, they should change it because it is wrong. And how many? I saw it happen at Russell, Rose Hill, Fairview (but on a very small scale), Ironton, South Point and I may be wrong but I think it may have even happened at the mecca of all that is basketball, Elliott County.

So then from what you have told me, that they were average athletically, below average in size but above exceptional in work ethic, heart and mental toughness that I would have to conclude that the 18 and 19 year olds were below average overall, would that not be a reasonable conclusion based on the facts you gave me? And would you not agree, if you are going to be honest, that most kids that play high school sports are only average to a little above average most of the time? So if a 19 year old who is very above average plays against these kids how is that fair?

I said I thought it was wrong, don't know how to answer that question more clearly and I imagined that I made my stand on the issue easy to read. Sorry if I did'nt. You don't have to answer any of my questions, that is fine and probably better. Some of the things you type, small and large cap, are not easy to read or understand.

Awesome, it is very evident by your posts that your knowledge of the subject is beyond what myself or anyone else could possibly match up to. But I will keep trying to keep up with your high standards though. So, were those kids you mentioned average or exceptional? Now that is in the form of a question so it should be easier for you to understand.

I am apologizing for asking you such a tough question, I won't bother you with it again. So glad to hear that you knew kids that could compete with much older kids, now were those kids exceptional or just average? Or is that question too tough to answer too?
