  1. You are correct, I also so Ferguson not take take Oney off the dribble once.I also saw other Elliott guards try to take their man off the dribble and not make it either, with some falling to the ground and losing the ball. I also saw all those same guards at other times take their man off the dribble and score or draw the foul. That is just part of the game. I have saw Michael Jordan stopped by his defender and have to kick back out. Elliott has some of the best guards I have saw in a long time around here. Surely you wouldn't pass judgement on a kid just because he didnt take someone off the dribble on one play, unless there was another motive of course. By the way, West Carter has some dandy guards also.
  2. If march is the only one that matters then there is no need for you to be tore all to pieces because the computer dont know what its talking about and others have their own opinion of who is better. More than one ranking service possibly even three has Elliott #1. I guess I am just going to take their word for it because "it doesnt really matter anyway":thumb:
  3. Good to see some of the ref's in the 16th start calling the foul on the defender backing under the three point shooter almost before they get the shot off. Not only is it a foul, it could be very dangerous to the shooter. I saw this all last year with hardly any calls, but this year some are noticing it and calling it. I also noticed the defender hardly ever questions the call, which would almost lead one to think the Coach is telling them to do so.
  4. High level D1 players go to North Carolina, Florida, Duke, Memphis etc. There are lots of extremely good players in OVC that wouldn't come off bench for High Level D1. OVC is not high level. IMO( and mine is as right to me as everyone else's is to them) Landon Slone would be a star in the OVC. I think Wiremans point is that The three from EC could play there and excel and I agree 100%. Oh! By the way I have watched 30+ years of OVC B-Ball
  5. Most of the people complaining are from Northern or Central Ky for some reason.
  6. No! He had 23 on 7-22 shooting, and played nearly the whole game.
  7. Just to humour you, I know C Knipp and the twins only played right at three quarters and Ferguson played 2-1/2. Does that help you out any???? I can give you Coach Mays phone number if it would help.
  8. Everyone other than Elliott fans are talking like Elliott has already peaked because they dont have Football, but I can promise you from watching both scrimmages they are not in top form yet. They are still pretty good but are not firing on all cylinders yet. Can't wait until Friday.
  9. Talked to Jonathan's dad just a few minutes ago. He is gone for x-rays as we speak??
  10. That sure blows about 50% or better of the poster's on here knowledge to shame. Because ton's of them said that Faulkner's or Ferguson could not play D1 ball. Well there's one down and two to go. Congrats Evan!
  11. I wouldn't worry much about what people think of your opinion if I were you. It is yours and you are entitled to it. Everyone does not see things alike. You definately should not get jumped on to for your thoughts about a player whoever it may be. I mean this is an discussion board based on everyones opinion.
  12. I did not see where anyone said Ferguson was the best wing in the state, they were arguing that he was "one of "the best wings in the state. And I agree with them. Ferguson and the Faulkners need to keep doing what they have been doing(being winners) and get a D1 scholarship(according to Fergusons, all three are being recruited by D1's) and zip all the naysayers shut. Ill say one thing though YNOT, they have all three did a lot more than a couple of the highly ranked superstars that were in their region. You know you can talk a lot of talk and one guy can say so and so is best in my opinion and so on and so forth, but a person is known by the fruits of their labors and those three kids have done nothing else but work a lot, play alot, and provide leadership and wins for whatever team they were playing for since they were in 7th grade. They are all three top players in the state IN MY OPINION.
  13. They will get eligible. Whatever it take's. Who cares if they do. But everyone and I mean EVERYONE knows they went there for basketball. So it would be nice if everyone went completely honest and admitted that because it is true,AND pray and hope they get eligible. Who cares if they get to play at Scott Co. They need to play somewhere so it might as well be Scott Co.
  14. I don't see how you guys can argue about these kid's. They are good friend's with each other, and their stats are almost mirror's of one another. Stats tell all you need to know and theirs are all about the same. None of them averages over 1-2 TO's a game, they all average good assist numbers for their position, and they all three have excellant FG% which is a sign that none of them are forcing too many shots so I would have to say they all have good basketball IQ's and you take any of the threeoff the team and it is damaged pretty bad.
  15. What I proved was that you made a couple incorrect statements or whatever one might want to call them in your previous post. What my stats proved was that taking the same amount of shots, they wouldnt out score him by 5-7. Both of them dont lead him in rebounds either(which you stated)only one of them does(by 1.4) There is not enough difference in any of the three's rebounds to matter, and as I stated before the point guard should be a few assists ahead. I also agree with Know It All that if they drew Fergusons defender's their numbers would be quite different. They are all three great players, but being a big fan of the Ferguson kid I am just defending him. YOu could have said Faulkners are the stud's of Elliott without dragging Ferguson's name into it and trying to down his play.
  16. The stud from Elliott is Ferguson.....the Faulkners are nice players. Ferguson avgs, 18.9 shots per game(46%) 723pts for 24.9ppg Evan shoots 12.0 shots per game(49.5%) 485pts for 16.7ppg Ethan shoots 9.6 shots per game(51%) 454pts for 15.7ppg Give them those extra 7(ev) 9(eth) shots if they could get them with Ferguson's defender on them and assuming they hit 1/2 of them their averages would be about equal. If % were a little less because of better defender average would be a little less. You have to take into consideration that they probably wouldnt shoot those %'s if they drew the other teams best defender night in and night out like Ferguson does. When playing top teams like Cov. Cath and Mason, Ferguson(up to this point) has still got his normal numbers no one else on the team has. Rebound's- Ethan 6.7 Ferguson 5.3 Evan 4.6 Assist- Ethan 6.7 Evan 2.5 Ferguson 2.4 Only big difference in assist and rebounds were in assist by Ethan who is as you know the Point Guard, who definately should lead in assist.
  17. Hopefully the rams will recover and be ready for a run into the region.
  18. IMO Ervin Stepp would not have scored 10 pts on Darius Miller. He shot a set shot and imo would not have got hardly any looks with Miller on him. I am not so sure he was a better shooter from looking at Fergusons percentage's, but he did shoot a lot more than Ferguson. I see where people post Ferg and others Ferguson, which is his real name?
  19. Don't know nothing about his offer's, but what does offers have to do with whether or not you played really well against top high school teams in your state? From what I can read and people I've talked to across the state this kid is a player. If the numbers posted above on those teams are correct he can definately get the job done. I know of several players in the past who did not have early offers, but before they graduated high school they signed with D1 school's. If you know anything about high school basketball, you know this is true.
  20. Don't know why you guy's keep hashing it. It's done been made plain Mason is by far superior and ...IF.... Elliott was to get lucky and get out of the 16th Mason doesn't have a thing to worry about. Personally I think Elliott is...... fa..........lling
  21. I agree, but I think he proved tonight he can get the job done even with the 6'7" D-1 signee in his face.
  22. His ballhandling skills looked fine to me. I saw on an internet site where he averages 1 TO per game, so they are not to bad. In the few time's I have watched him not sure I have saw him shoot better than 6-13 from three. That is smokin'.
