Another example of incompetence from the KHSAA.

This gets crazier by the hour.

Ruh-roh. Now the gloves are off. If Rose Hill is the only place that these 2 are eligible that will bring out the big dogs. State Rep. Rocky Adkins is liable to get involved now. He doesn't need anything to upset the apple cart out there in Elliott. (the preceding was an attempt at humor)

 

Once again, I think this will all end up with the boys playing for Scott Co. in the upcoming season. I'm sure that there are going to be attorneys involved sooner than later. This will be great entertainment through the summer lull.

Isn't this logical that he would be ineligible? Unlike the Eutons, there was no job change precipitating a move.

 

The move didn't occur until the Eutons moved. What else could it be for except athletic purposes?

This is an easy call in my opinion based on the current rules.

This is sad but there are other cases that kids that transferred had to sit out a year before playing or practicing. The KHSAA made their decision and I think they will uphold it no matter how many appeals are made.

 

There have been too many red flags go up invovling the Eutons, it is a shame that the ones getting penalized is the kids. This is like having a nagging tooth ache, get it pulled immediately cause it just aint going to go away.

Im sorry but when some of these families come out in the paper and say we are moving to play ball somewhere, and we have toured certain facilities, that is simply moving for an athletic purpose.

I have a feeling you're right to a degree. However, I differ with you on the treatment. Both parties will be lawyer'd up and the KHSAA is fixin' to get a good old root canal!

That's why I asked the question.

 

Put yourself in the seats of the KHSAA personnel. Euton's dad loses his job and picks Georgetown to be his new residence. Seemingly the next day, Jackson also ends up in Georgetown. You don't think the KHSAA is going to wonder how that happened and if it was for athletic reasons?

 

Was there something (other than the Eutons) that caused the Jacksons to head back to Georgetown? When the KHSAA says they believe it was for athletic purposes, what is going to be a satisfactory response to that by the Jacksons?

 

Unless you came to town on a turnip truck, you're suspicious of the reasons.
