Coach Whitaker is the type of coach that if you do something wrong your going to get chewed out. There's a saying that if it's not broke then don't fix it. He's not the National Coach of the year for no reason.

As I stated it was hear say. The umpire was mad at the catcher for a reason, so he obviously said something other than what you thought also.

Shane Fowler said "come on man" and the umpire said "I'll control this game" then the catcher said something to the affect of "you haven't made a call all day." This is just hear say, but the catcher and umpire had a discussion after all this happened, so obviously something was said.

He had to jump out of the way of both pitches, and then the Beechwood catcher talks back to the umpire, and Harrison is the team with no class?

The first base coach said, "if it makes you all feel any better, you just beat a JV pitcher." The head coach of Beechwood went and talked to the catcher before Shane Fowler of Harrison batted, the first two pitches he saw were high and tight. I see that as he was told to throw at the batter. Also, Harrison County is a team with a lot of class, as Coach Whitaker would never let that happen.

There is absolutely no possible way you can say the umpires were the game changer. The umpire behind the plate was really inconsistent, but he was that way for both teams. Jordan Martin had a lot of calls that were very questionable that were called balls. Beechwood had absolutely no class. The head coach threw at Shane Fowler, and after the game the first base coach said something to the Harrison County players. I have never seen something so ridiculous.

Chas Hyde and Thomas Noll are bothing having succesful seasons at The University of Cumberlands.

Western Hills, and Male. Harrison was up 8-2 on Male in the top of the 6th when Harrison had 5 or 6 consecutive errors. Those errors would not be made now.

Harrison County is way to low in this poll. This team has a great deal of talent, and will be tough to beat come tournament time.

Sizemore started for Harrison which is deep in the depth of the staff. Pendelton has a nice team this year. Hunter Hill also hit two homeruns for Harrison.

This game wasn't as close as the score seems. Harrison was winning 13-3 when it pulled all its starters. Harrisons offense is deadly. I believe Shane Fowler already has 9 homeruns.

Who pitched for Bourbon?

Harrison County is a very inexperienced team, but they have a lot of talent. The pieces to the puzzle are coming together, this team will be ready to play. I guarantee that.

The umpires were awful, but they were awful for both teams. At least it wasn't one sided.

Martin gave up 8 runs, but the team had 4 errors in the 6th inning when they scored 6 or their 8 runs. Martin is a heck of a pitcher, and is difficult to beat.

Harrison County has a lot of talent, they just haven't found where everyone fits yet. Give this team a couple more weeks and I know Coach Whitaker will have them ready to play.

Harrison County had to replace 5 defensive positions from last years team. They are still trying to figure out the every day roster and the loss of Logan Dailey can't be replaced in the rotation or in the lineup.

Harrison blew a 6-0 lead. Defense is where Harrison is really going to struggle early after losing nearly the whole infield to graduation. With the loss of Logan Dailey when Jordan Martin isn't on the mound this team is beatable. I know Coach Whitaker and he will have his defense sound by tournament play.

Harrison had some errors, but they also had people playing positons where they don't normally play. After Martin pitched he went to left field where he has never played, Xavier Carter played center after a collison where he normally does not play. IMO give this team 3 weeks and they will be solid.

If I'm not mistaken, both teams were playing in the cold. So therefore both teams were suffering, don't come up with bad excuses. Just my opinion.

Coach Whitaker always finds a way to make his team winners. They may be inexperienced but they have the bats, and Coach Whitaker will have the defense there when the postseason is here, you can count on that.

He tore his labrim. He is having surgery Monday. I wouldn't count Harrison County out yet, they have a lot of great hitters. Also, Brandon Kendall (sophomore) has really stepped up and is throwing the ball very well. IMO they are still the favorite by far to win the region and will compete at state.

If Chase Mullins throws 87-88 I would love to see what Jordan Martin, Logan Dailey and Ryan Durbin, Anthony Withrow, Chris Norman get clocked at. Im not bashing the kid because he is an outstanding pitcher but after talking to several college coaches saying that they get him on the gun at low 80's make this seem a little hard to believe. Thats outstanding that he is verbally committed to Uk but that means nothing until he signs that piece of paper. By then surely they will have a new coach.

I would agree, but not all teams are going to Florida next week to play against teams that have been playing for a couple months. I was just stating that it will probably be a little rough.

I have never witnessed Mullins throw that hard. How come he has never pitched against Harrison in such a big game?
