  1. 1. George Rogers Clark 2. Mason County 3. Bishop Brossart 4. Scott High 5. Campbell County 6. Harrison County 7. Montgomery County 8. Pendelton County 9. Nicholas County 10. Bracken County This is just my opinion.
  2. Dye has a hurt arm and will having Tommy John surgery on August 11 and Chasteen had his wisdom teeth pulled that Thursday.
  3. I wasnt implying that the goofing off was coming from the pitcher. I was implying that the team in general was goofing around and that the pitcher of that game did not have his best outing as he is the 4th or 5th pitcher for Harrison. Martin and Dailey are Harrisons only two pitchers as of right now. Jordan Martin, a freshman, had a perfect game through six against Fleming and pitched very well as will be one of the top 4 pitchers next year for HC. The breds were without Dye and Chasteen, which are both two very good pitchers and players. MC outfield made some tremendous catches as Harrison would of hit 5 or 6 home runs if they were playing at home.
  4. Yes indeed. Harrison kind of goofed around the last game and didnt get a very good pitching performance. The game before that they beat Midland, West Virginia and won 8-0. Midland is one of the top teams in West Virginia.
  5. I dont know if Boyd was missing players or what but Harrison County beat them 11-2 in Boyds summerball tournament tonight.
  6. I look for Harrison County to have a dominant team next year. I have also heard that West Jessamine will have a great team.
  7. I heard that Martin is undecided at this time but is leaning toward playing basketball but will not be playing football.
  8. Who do you think will be some of the top teams in the state next year?
  9. Custard was never the leading scorer from last years team. Puckett and Case were by far the most consistent scoreres from last years team but someone will have to replace the scoring.
  10. Harrison does have a lot of young talent but none that will be able to compete with Clark and Mason. This year the breds only return two players that recieved playing time from last year. Martin and Thomas will have to really carry this team if they plan on making it back to the regional tournament.
  11. Campbell did not hit a home run off on Martin. Thomas was well deserving as he had a stand out season.
  12. Playing the caliber of teams that Nicholas plays I think alot of people could have a good season on that team. Harrison beat Campbell to death on the mound in the district championship.
  13. Sorry, I'm getting old.
  14. Arent most of Harrison Countys upperclassmen plan on attending college to play baseball? If thats the case I would say that they would concentrate on that before basketball.
  15. The 10th region feels your pain. Martin and Dye from Harrison County neither one were represented in the all star game and Kyle Campbell from Nicholas County was. Both kids batted over .400 and Martin was 4-0 and pitched a 7 inning perfect game against Simon Kenton which Harrison only won 2-0. Dye went 3-3 with 3 doubles tying the state record and only made one error at second base all year. No offense to Campbell but with the caliber of teams Harrison played and the way these young men performed I feel that the selection of this all-star team was a bit unfair.
  16. I think its more of Coach Kendall wanting to let the younger kids play than Coach Reitz having anything to do with it. Some of the best freshman basketball players are not even playing basketball right now but it gives the ones that are great experience.
  17. If I remember correctly Frankfort was very young last year but had some talented guards.
  18. I talked to Coach Whitaker personally yesterday and he said that this summer Thompson would play third while Martin and Dye would switch on and off at shortstop and second while Moss catches and Sanders plays left.
  19. Harrison County was without four players due to Coach Whitakers baseball camp.
  20. Is he going to be playing at the college level? What about Eric Craft? Both are very nice ball players.
  21. So now Martin plays third and Thompson isnt going to play at all? A kid that makes an amazing triple play and had a great offensive season batting over.400 is not going to play anymore? Sure he could DH but why DH a kid that works hard all year around to play a sophomore catcher with no experience? Personally Harrison County's defense would be way better if Martin played second and Thompson at third with Sanders in the outfield and Moss behind the plate (If he even last).
  22. Who would he start over in the outfield? Sanders plays the outfield just as good if not better than Moss and hit the ball better this year.
