Scott County 54 Trinity 53 (Sweet 16 - Round 1)
All In replied to 16thBBall Fan's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I'm glad after 3 pages someone finally brought this up. This has happened over and over in tournament play of late(Pendleton County and Mason County in the 10th Region Tournament) comes to mind when it comes to not using fouls in the final seconds of games. This is coaching 101 or at least assistant coaching 101 even into middle school. It was always the job of an assistant or book keeper on the bench back when I did it to always be in the coaches ear with this information constantly. Most of these schools have 10 assistants or so it seems on the bench and not one can tell a coach he has fouls to use. More to the job than getting a coaches pass for family and friends or maybe not. Unbelievable. -

I posted this exact same information on the CC-Scott Prediction thread, along with the fact that 3 out of the last 4 years one of those two has won the baseball 10th region as well. My top 3 for next year are: Scott CC Bishop Brossart GRC and Paris may have returning talent next year, but until they start proving themselves beyond packing on the regular season wins, I've got them on the outside looking in.

Facts for other 10th region schools to consider: Campbell County vs. Scott(3rd 10th Region Final game in last 4 years) If not for Pig's shot, chances are this could be Campbell County's 5th 10th Region Final in a row as they beat Moco in '13 I believe, to go to State May want to get start getting prepared for baseball as CC or Scott has won the 10 Region Title 3 of the last 4 years in that as well My prediction is not for this game, but saying right now these 2 will be in next years 10th Region Final

Scott 46 Paris 43 (10th Region Semifinals)

41-29,Paris after 3. Let that sink in 46-43 Final, unbelievable -
Have seen CC 3 times this season and always came away impressed. Well coached, hard nosed. Clos and Schaffer killed Mason County in one of the games I saw. Schaffer was the unlikely difference, hitting, I believe 3 treys in a row towards the end of the game, Day and Jollly are always clutch. Was not impressed at all with GRC,maybe just an off night, but man their free throw shooting was horendous. I think one player missed all 3 free throws after being fouled attempting a 3. Have never seen that before at any level in person. Losing Philpot at the very start of OT took the air out of the sails, it was obvious

Campbell County/George Rogers Clark predictions
All In replied to Randy Parker's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Hoping for things to play out that the district foes play each other in the finals on Tuesday, as though 2 in their respective districts have really gone at each other all year. So: GRC vs. Paris or CC vs. Scott for it all -
Seems like I had seen somewhere that PC had around 200 students more than Mason County, which even if they are less a little less or on par with Mason County was always shocking to me. Always thought or at least it seemed when I was younger that PC was in the Bracken County enrollment range, maybe a 100 or so more than them. I think a lot of outsiders think that with all the business's, the size of their gym, etc. that Mason County is this big school which it never has been. Back in the early state tournament appearances and even with Lofton and Miller, enrollment was probably less than what it was when that '13-'14 report was done
