All the experience in the world does you no good if you have no players. I like it when Augusta is competitive and fun to watch aka the Hinson years, I sure hope this decision doesn't set them back in a few years like St.Patrick will be this season

I thought i read that was the reason he left boys coaching at Nicholas County was to coach his young daughter at Bath County when that girls coaching job came open. Didn't he coach his son at Nicholas County until he graduated? Kinda strange, but maybe not, I guess.

Will St.Patrick even field a team this year? They probably need to schedule a little lighter, just hope they don't do like Robertson County did last year and play Silver Grove three times.

Wonder if Butler is on his list, like WKU, they seem to go after and sign a lot of those mid major players from Kentucky and Indiana that play in the All Star game every year. Those 2 schools,along with Purdue and Xavier he should jump on one if he is offered

Expect high heat index's and humidity for these games. Remember a few years back(may have even been at CC) when umpires, fans and players were dropping on account of the heat. Games may have even gotten pushed back into very late evening.

With Coach Biggs or a new Coach, still have MaCo at #4 in the region. Coach Kirk may be able to Coach them past GRC, but the Northern Kentucky behemoth is another story

A good hire, just a surprise, to me anyway. Would be interesting to see who actually interviewed for the job instead of the rumors. There were some names mentioned that I liked, but don't know if they even interviewed. Probably Coach Kirk's dream job, even though Augusta will be Number 2 in the district next year and the future Panthers are coming
