As an outsider, have always thought all of the Royals coaches over the years have done an outstanding job with that program, i think people forget that Mason County is a very small school compared to your GRC's,CC's and Scott, even PC's enrollment is way more. The Bracken,Robertson and Mason contingent that are at The Fieldhouse year after year after year always makes up a little chunk(more sizable than you think) of any crowd because they never miss a game(there was more of that group than Paris and Scott combined last night), but to fill up the stage I just can't see GRC and especially CC to do that. Now if PC and MC would have been the undercard at 730 on Monday, they would have had to turn back hundreds I do believe. Do you remember what the crowd was like for Scott/CC last years final, was the stage full?

Am really going to miss the Mason County band, adds so much to the environment. I don't know what GRC and CC have, but if they don't have someone on lead, bass and drums they can't hold a stick to Maco. Great to see the stage full for that first game as well. And know I'm in the minority but wish they would go back to split sessions, the ole back is a aching from having to arrive at 5 to get a seat I like and then am there more or less for 4 and a half hours. Don't see how older guys like mcpapa and others do it

I said it a few games back, UK will not lose another game until possibly Sweet 16. If they win out regular season and SEC tournament, I will pick them to win it all in one of my 10 or more March Madness brackets that I fill out

Agree with all of that and yet I didn't expect Duke to win this game. They always,always,always struggle in Blacksburg even when they're clicking on all cylinders. I would like to see Grayson attack the rim more(he has the ability) , 15-3's is a lot for even Steph Curry

Without these two, unless someone unexpected like Brammar or Jones blows up from 3, this has the potential for a score along the lines of the Mason/Lewis game earlier in the year

My two favorite teachers ever were a husband and wife. The husband taught Middle School American History/Ky. History and Government. The wife taught high school Algebra/Geometry,etc. They were so good and interesting in what they did and cared about everyone to a fault, But other than those two and my elementary teachers, the rest for the most part (especially the two years I went to college) just read out of a book or script and just seemed to phone it in and this was a loooong time ago. Truly great teachers are a dime a dozen like you and your husband and the two or three I had. Friends of mine got into teaching for the summer's off, the spring breaks,fall breaks,winter breaks,etc. I don't think they knew or cared about pensions at the time they made their career choice, they just thought the pay was very good for working 8 months or so a year. Would think there might be tens of thousands like this

I know ex-teachers that started full time teaching at age 22 and retired with their 25 years in at age 47 with their full pension,benefits,etc. and haven't worked a day since,just travel and enjoy life. Is this still possible? These women are in their 60's now. Have never really known how their retirement benefits or pension worked, has it changed over the years?

I brought this up on another thread as to why Robertson County was the only school in that district to vote against seeding when they could easily be the top seed in that district the next 3 years( I mean they beat a 6A size football school by 20 for frosh region title). Was told by several posters that this decision to blind draw was made based on the best interests of the other team sports(baseball,softball volleyball,girls basketball,etc.). What say you?

Really hoped that BC smelled blood in the water after half with no big man( Perkins) and Lofton going out in the second half, but instead in the end it looked like they were content with beating St. Patrick and settling for the check for going to the Regional Tournament. Very disappointed in the margin of loss in this one.
