Thanks to a 42-25 second half Pc secured the victory. Congrats to RC on a fine game and a fine season. Tonight it was just too much Dontaie Allen and several threes in the second half. PC also did a better job on the boards and did not give up as many second chance points in the second half. RC kids seem to be wonderful young men and Coach Kelsch is a class act.

Pendleton County had four in double figures, led by Dontaie Allen's 23 points, 12 rebounds, & 8 blocks.

 

Alex Schalch paced the Black Devils with 21 points & 9 boards.

About what u thought the outcome would be Allen is the real deal.

Allen is the best player in the 10th region. And the kid is so unselfish. He could score 40 a night but chooses to play unselfish, and he makes his team and teammates so much better. Always a pleasure watching the kid play.

Did I read this district was moving to seeding next year? If they had seeded this season, would Pendleton and Robertson have played each other in the first round?

Yes, they are seeding next year, but it's hard to know seeding because they didn't have a seeded schedule.

 

My guess would be that Nicholas County would have been the 4, with Harrison and Robertson the 2 & 3.

I wondered what Pendleton shot from 3 last night, and just saw they were 14-29.

Harrison was 1-2 in District, but never played Robertson.

 

Robertson was 1-2 in District, splitting with Nicholas but never playing Harrison.

 

Nicholas was 1-3 in District, splitting with Robertson but losing to the other 2.

They zoned most of the night, but when they switched to man, the result was much the same in terms of defending the 3. Wildcats were on fire, especially in the second half.

Am shocked that these 2 don't play twice a year every year, just for proximity, forget about seeding.

On another note, sure hope RC schedules harder next year with this squad, just to prep for games against opponents like PC.

Agreed. They have a nice young team, and will benefit scheduling up a bit.
