Probably, they had to reschedule it because Calvary has church on Wed nights and does not like to play on that night. Cougars get a BIG win. Not too many of lose for them this year.

As sloppy as they looked last night. I would say they would be hard pressed to pull out a win. However, they were playing to the level of their competition. Teams have figured out to trap our guards when they cross the half court line. SK must overcome that. I know Hester is out, but, why was Hopkins and Parrott out last night? Ponzer is quick on the point and a decent defender, but, I have rarely seen him make a shot. If he shoots, Hurd might as well crash the boards. Hopefully, SK can pull this one out. SK will not be able to stop Clark Cty in this game. If Hester were available, It is a whole different ballgame. SK should have blown out Walton last night, but, just does not have the guard play right now. GRC 75 SK 59 SK is pitiful at the free throw line!

Cru will be intimidated by the Dawgs. Dawgs cruise to easy victory by 13pts. Cru was challenged earlier in season by SK and could not hang. SK beat Dawgs in a close one.

SK by 9 on home floor. Close game throughout. Hurd will foul out and Elbert will carry them. Free throws resulting from fouls at game's end will result in difference.

Did not mean they played bad, just they had to go against a better team. I thought an excellent showing.

Cov Cath just couldn't hang with what was a better team they played.

The SK Boys Basketball team continues to roll in the consolation bracket of the 5/3 Tournament at Lexington Catholic this morning by defeating St Mary's of Western Kentucky by a final score of 56-47. Josh Hurd led all scoring with 23 points, Josh Elbert ended up with 10 points. The win puts SK at 10-1 for the season. They play Lincoln County Friday morning at 9:00am for the winner of the consolation bracket. Today's game was close all the way until the 4th quarter went SK went up by 10 with 3:25 left to play. Elbert keyed the run with an 8 point 4th quarter. SK held the Vikings to only 2 field goals in the 4th quarter. Despite that, the Vikings made a run at the Pioneers coming as close as 3 points, 48-45, with 1:50 left to play. The game included 6 lead changes and 2 ties in the score. Mike Hester and Zach Layne both missed the game for injury or sickness. Brandon Maegley and Ricky Parrott played after Tuesday's injuries, but both played very sparingly. Lincoln County lost it's first game in the tournament by 20 points, but managed to defeat Clinton County this am on foul shots with 2 seconds remaining in the game.
