  1. St Henry gets revenge in a great match. But, then NDA will get them back at the Regionals and advance to the State Tourney.
  2. Looks like a all Louisville final. Mercy and Assumption. Looks like New Cath will get probably Marshall Cty and then face a tough Greenwood team but should prevail. Then, they have to defeat #1 Mercy. Looks like NDA or St Henry will get to second round and face Mercy also. Oh well, I'd say the Lville folks are happy and that will be tough ticket for the finals.
  3. Should be a great match. I think Highlands should be able to pull this one off in three games.

  5. I read the article. It was very good. She deserves it! Hope she has huge success at the state tourney this year. NC should go far.
  6. HC: Let's see how they fare in their next three matches...
  7. They should have a good chance to beat Scott tonight. Good Luck to the Juggs.
  8. Who do you like to win this tourney? Pools will be seeded in a 1 and out tourney on Saturday. I know it is not the LVIT, but should make for some good matchups on Saturday. :dancingpa SCOTT SEPTEMBER SLAM 2008 Pool A Bellevue Conner Highlands Lloyd Scott Pool B Calvary Christian Campbell Co Dixie Heritage Simon Kenton
  9. I like: Boone in three, esp if CC middle still ill, then maybe BC in two. Findley will be hard to stop St Henry over Ryle in two Holy Cross over Dixie in two Highlands over Villa in two
  10. Your thoughts on tonights matchups of interest? Campbell Cty hosts Boone County Ryle hosts St Henry Dixie hosts Holy Cross (Cov) Highlands hosts Villa Madonna Best matchup should be the CC BC game.
  11. google his name and not much will come up... http://www.gatorzone.com/golf/men/media/2005/pdf/17.pdf http://www.gatorzone.com/golf/men/bios.php?year=2006&player_id=8
  12. She had a ankle sprain but should be ready to play tonight. The young lady is a sophmore and has filled in quite nicely. Another sophmore was the starter at the beginning of the season but she suffered a broken finger. SK has a young team of juniors and sophmores, but, if they are on they should pull out a victory. Highlands will battle them. SK has a tough stretch ahead with a match tonight, Thurs and the Spet Slam over the weekend which begins Friday night with two matches.
  13. Highlands travels to Independence to face Simon Kenton tonight in what should be a tightly contested match. Both teams may face each other again this weekend in Scott's September Slam. Any thoughts on who will come away with the win?
  14. Boone over Owens. Cath 3-1 Aug 30, '08 Boone County over Owensboro Cath 3 - 1 (W) (24-26, 25-15, 25-22, 25-16)
  15. I'd say edge goes to Highlands. Should be a close contested match. Should go three.
  16. Maybe they could have mistakenly kept her on the lineup card? Is not a new lineup card made for the third game? Surely the coach knew she was injured, but maybe just forgot to change it in the excitement? The injured player did not have to receive serve cause she came out via the libero immediately. But, thought it was odd she having to get on the court. You'd think if error made it should be a correctible error.
  17. Ryle won in three in Union last night. Ryle took the first game. SK got the second game but lost one of their middles to a ankle injury late in that second game. The third game went to Ryle in a close match. SK just had a tough time adjusting in the third after losing their middle. They had to mix up the lineup. The Harmeling girl for Ryle played a great game and controlled the net for Ryle. Yeah, the sr. libero turned in her jersey and quit the team after the NDA game. She is being replaced by a junior. Last night the libero played well and held her own in the defensive court. SK just lost their power hitting when their middle went down. Answer this: To begin the third game, SK had to bring their injured middle on the floor to have their lineup confirmed by the down ref. In the interest of the injured athlete, would she not be exempted from this and the team not be penalized? That girl had to be held up up by two of her teammates on the court.?
  18. Two of the big NKY public schools will battle :fight: tonight in Union for Volleyball bragging rights. Can Simon Kenton's team of sophmores and juniors pull off the upset? Ryle lost to Boone in two on Saturday and SK defeated Boone in three. Should be a good matchup.
  19. That should be a big win for NDA? St Ursula is a Ohio powerhouse. Are they not? The same goes for Roger Bacon. Sounds like a quality showing by the NKY schools.
  20. I would keep it the way it is. If you split it there would still be the if/could/would/should questions to answer.
  21. 1. Newport Central Catholic 2. Notre Dame 3. St. Henry 4. Ryle 5. Campbell Cty 6. Highlands 7. Simon Kenton 8. Boone 9. Scott 10. Lloyd Really mixed up after Lexington tourney. Ryle coming on strong. Boone struggling. Simon Kenton improving with a non-senior lineup. Lloyd still dangerous. No one should take them lightly.
  22. Great showing by Ryle after losing to Boone in the morning session. They lost to a quality Greenwood team. Greenwood is a tall and senior filled team that is very good. Probably the best in the west. Thought I saw Ryle winning in game three late but Greenwood must have come back. Simon Kenton had a quality showing at the tourney as well. They made it to the Silver Championship by defeating Boone in three games. Then only to fall to Lexington power Henry Clay for the second time on the weekend. Ironically, Ryle and Simon Kenton will meet Turesday night in Union. They did not meet at Lexington. However, Ryle fell to Boone and SK defeated Boone. So, it should be a interesting matchup.
