  1. Think she may have found some help inside.# 50 had a career point night(15) against PC while guarding and being guarded by one N.Kelsch. Tough assignment both ways. Has been inconsistent at times but it may be time for a start or two to see if she can back it up. Either way, a bright spot for sure.
  2. Check today's Ledger All In. Small article in there. I agree with you, though. Iwould really like to see more detailed info on teams not located in Maysville.
  3. They look to be the cream of the crop. Nice win over the 'Stangs. Wat to go young bears.
  4. I'd say A-town in a close one. Coach K will have to get some scoring from the bench to pull this one out.
  5. Total agreement llbc. Scaggs treys kept PC in the game. And then the Kelsch leadership took over. The off season weights have improved her game so much. She definitely leads by example, just a refusal to lose and the commitment in the off season to make that happen. I was also impressed with the soph. Rogers from BC. 15 points and several boards while matched up with Kelsch much of the night. Should be some good things to come there as confidence and maturity grow. I've heard she's quite a student of the game as well. She should take a page from that Kelsch book of off season conditioning and see just how far she can go.
  6. Positively a very physical game, played the same on both ends of the court and both sides of the ball. I thought the refs might have let it get a little too physical but i'm the same guy that wouldn't want the whistled blowed on a hand check. Hard to have it both ways. Two of the hardest hits were both on pretty clean blocks. Congrats to the Lady Cats as they prevailed. A good, hard, clean game.
  7. Thanks Pride, even a blind dog gets a drink ever now and then.
  8. With the return of Kaunui, I think if they can hold Kelsch under 15 pt.s the Lady Bears should be able to pull out a win at home. Good Luck Lady Bears.
  9. Great news for the Lady Bears. It will take all the weapons to hold Kelsch below her average. Talked to Natalie this weekend. She said they had lost to Campbell the nite before so you know they are ready to get back on the winning track. Hold Kelsch below average and get back in the win column. Good luck Lady Bears.
  10. Great win for the Polar Bears. Great rivals sure make for great games. Way to go Bracken.
  11. No doubt that Tara is a phisically gifted athelete. An awesome rebounder with a great nose for the ball. But poor decision making, on the court as well as off , combined with an inability to finish inside as evidenced by the low shooting percentage would take her out of the running for Best at Bracken. My pick would be guard Dana Figgins. She may be small but I believe she would go bear hunting with a switch. You get nothing less than 110% from her night after night, day after day. A leader on the floor as well as off. If you have a daughter this young lady is a great role model for yours to watch. IMO she is the one ballplayer I would not want to take the floor without. My best player as well as my MVP.
  12. Congrats to the Panthers. Great win in a tough place. Nice job of stepping up by the younger White. They've got another player on the JV I think could help on Varsity too. # 52 (Krebs ?) seems to be consistently scoring 15 - 20 a game. Be a big plus for Augusta to convert those into Varsity points.
  13. Good win for the Polar Bears. Congrats to Coach Fite and guys. T-Hamm really had his hands full tonight.
  14. Took a trip to the panther den to watch this one. Congrats on the win to the Lady Devils. I know Augusta really missed the leadership of Sarah Collins. She has really stepped it up during the mid season. A fine young lady. The Sebastion girl, (Lauren?) continues to impress me. Even after knee surgery in the off season this girl is willing to get down on the floor night after night, 110 % hustle. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way.
  15. Understandable lbbc. As for the Lady Bears, once again poor shooting combined with 25 turnovers will almost always end with loss. The 26-10 free throw differential only makes it that much harder to overcome. Not the kind of performance you want against a team you should probably beat. Especially not with Nat Kelsch and the Lady Cats coming to town on Monday. Keep your heads up Lady Bears, play strong, do the little things. Box out, make good decisions, take care of the ball, and keep headin' towards the basket. Good Luck with the Lady Cats.
  16. I'll go with the blind draw. But I've spent a lot more time trying to determine the logic behind having Mason Co. in a district with 3 Class A schools.
  17. That Pelle can jump right out of the gym. Just an awesome leaper.
  18. Nothing but agreement here. Had the pleasure of watching Chris play several times this season. A class act as well as a heck of a ballplayer. I'd pick him for my team everytime.
