Great game as Ladyhounds shock Bishop Brossart in a thriller at Nicholas County!:ylsuper:

There are two many good games going on around the state at the same time. Wish we had re-runs. Good Win Paris

any additional info on this game? It was Brossart's tournament to lose and it appears as if they did not play up to their potential. Hats off to Paris for pulling off the upset.

An upset, but not a complete shock to me. I said early in the season that Clark and Paris would make some noise in the 10th.

Brossart (13-3) went ahead 3-0 but Paris (9-7) went on top 6-5 and never relinquish the lead after that. The Ladyhounds led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter. They extended that lead to 23-14 at the break. The Lady Stangs outscored Paris 10-6 in the third quarter to pull to within five of the Ladyhounds at 29-24. The fourth quarter came down to the last minute of the contest.

A three by Brossart's Skinner made it 39-37 Paris. The Ladyhounds answered with an old fashion three point play by Janette Pacas to go up 42-37 with less than a minute remaining. A basket by Butsch and an inbound steal by Skinner for a score brought it to 42-41, Paris. With 6.6 remaining in the contest, Paris' Sasha Davis hit one of two from the charity stripe to make it 43-41, which led to a despeartion shot by Brossart that came up way short and Paris held on for the upset victory 43-41. Not bad for a team who lost all five starters off of last season's team!

Know nothing about this team, but if they did loose all 5 starters from last year, that is a great win. Sounds like Brossart may have been looking ahead a little. Really shouldn't be looking at March when it is still January.

Brossart still has some work to do.. Against PC wasn't the easiest win, so against Paris I'm sure it was a battle. If they want a chance at the 10th they need to step it up. With all their seniors this is their year, they just have to chose what to do w/ it.
