Keisha Woods and Uc-Clermont
Big Daddy Bear replied to Devilman's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Seems Keisha is just continuing the success she earned in high school. Good things for good kids. Way to go Keisha. -
Congrats to the Lady Rebels. Always a championship caliber game when these two teams play.

Congrats to the panthers. Great to see them play the kind of ball they are capable of. -

Was worried this one would end up like the Brossart after seeing Campbell play Boone so well the other night. To the Lady Bears credit, they really stepped up tonight. Another great effort by # 00 H.Haight with double digit points and several boards. Got some excellent minutes off the bench from # 50 A.Rogers with 7 points and several rebounds in the first half. Big win for Coach Schultz and the Lady Bears as they take one from Campbell in The Desert. Congradulations Bracken ! -
Have to agree Pride. After several trips to the den, Coach Arnold has a fan here.

10th Region Girls All A discussion

My heart's in blue but I think Brossart is gonna be the team to beat. Of course, I do beleive the " A " is being held at Paris. Not that Paris isn't tough enough, but home court never hurts! -
Best coach in the 10th region

Find it interesting that nobody has mentioned Coach Buser at Mason county. Seems like she always has her team somewhere around the top of the tenth. -
Have to agree. Have had the opprotunity to watch Coach Kelsch several years now. Any ball player that has had the good fortune to come under his guidance could only come out better on the other end.

Well coached and well played. St. Pat put on awesome show all the way thru the tourney. Congrats to Coach Hinson and the Saints. If Coach Hinson gets a sweater vest to go with them sharp duds the Saints may just be unstopppable! -

The Lady Bears have got to remedy the turnovers to have any chance at success. You just can't give the ball up that many times ( forced or unforced ) and come away with wins. They'll get a little time off before heading to Villa Madonna for the christmas tourney. I'm sure Coach Shultz is looking for some better ballhandling in her lady bear christmas stocking. Good luck Lady Bears as we head to the holidays! -

I think the depth down the bench played a huge role in the win today. Would really like to see more minutes for the 6 thru 11 players. I don't have any problem with the starting 5, I just beleive for BC to have success they have to utilize every weapon. And their bench is as deep as any. -
Congrats to the panthers. Lookin forward to visiting the den soon!

#50 is Alex Rogers. A junior. She's had some minutes and has contributed. Did not play in the Varsity game against Scott. -
Augusta Head Coach Robin Kelsch

I know I can't say it any better than that. And I don't think it's just limited to the ball floor. -

One of the best reasons to be a Bracken co. resident is an Augusta vs. Bracken basketball game. What a great show tonight! The community support of a great cause on both sides of the gym made me proud this is where I call home. Congrats to Rob and the Panthers on a hard fought win. Continued good luck to Coach Fite and the young Polar Bears. I think the best is still to come. -
Emphasis on scoring..

Another area that gets overlooked is the box out. Which is really surprizing since it doesn't seem like you can go to a girls game without hearing coaches charging their players to do so. And it seems more often than not that the girls who box out the best are rarely the one to get the rebound. -
Taking the charge ?

Excellent post LLBC. Couldn't agree more . Middle school coaches: There is a great teaching list. -
I think Bracken can win this one if they stay close. But they will have to do the things they haven't been doing. Take care of the ball, spread out, make good crisp passes, swing the ball, pull the trigger on a good open shot, hit the post when it's open, be in control, and finish the opprotunities. A low scoring game would benefit the Lady Bears.
