  1. Good momentum for the all a next week. Sounds like SHOOTEY was in the DEN. Congrats Panthers.
  2. Final. 58 -45. Bracken County wins. Mama Bear going crazy!
  3. End of third quarter. 44-36. Bracken up. Mama Bear texting.
  4. Congrats to the Lady Hounds. They beat a good team tonight.
  5. NO PLACE that I would rather watch a basketball game ! And when you get a Bracken / Augusta matchup it is just electric.
  6. Congradulations to Bishop Brossart. Did the young Douglas from St.Pat play in this one. Any updates on her injury sustained at Bracken County ? Hope she gets back quick - lotta fun to watch on the ball floor !
  7. I know it's Paris' homecourt but I'm picking the Lady 'Stangs. 48-42
  8. She was about half there in the first quarter at the A tourney game against Silver Grove tonight. Congradulations Erin !
  9. Best way ( only way )to start a tournament . Congrats on a good win Lady Bears ! Keep that up against ( Deming most likely ). Pretty much a team effort tonight. Big Daddy is scheduled to work the weekend but you can bet Lady Bear Basketball will be on his mind. Good luck in the rest of the tourney!
  10. That is a whole lot of points no matter how or where you put them in. Congrats to Erin.
  11. Big Daddy's in. Agree with the good game idea. Probably the most evenly matched teams in the tournament. Going with the Lady Bears on this one 50-43.
  12. Pretty sure I've witnessed at least two of those technicals by BC coaches.
  13. I know coaches hate moral victories but in this case...Augusta played a very good team tonight and represented theirselves well. My understanding is that the lady panthers only dressed eight tonight. To say they were outmanned would be an understatement. Congrats to Brossart.
  14. Any BGP'ers ( besides Devilman.lol ) headed to the Devil Dome today. 3:30 tippoff time. Haven't seen Nicholas play this year so I'm looking forward it. Especially after getting a personal invitation from the coaching staff at Mt. Olivet. Would expect to see some Lady Bears in attendance as well.
  15. Got to take in this game. A real pleasure to see Coach Kues teaching the game of basketball again. A long road for Silver Grove strictly due to amount of players. Look out though if there are any girls coming up with the last name of Pelle! I guarantee his teams will be fundementally sound before too long and will only get better. As for Augusta: A nice win for a hard working program and staff. They also have a very limited amount of personel to work with. Coach Arnold and Coach Bach have done a heck of a job with these young ladies. They are learning as well as playing the game of basketball. Hang in there Lady Panthers, I think you'll get there.
  16. I just don't see how that could be legal as stringent as KHSAA rules are about everything else. Maybe one of the moderators or one of our fellow BGP'ers with some rules knowledge can shed some light.
  17. Just wanted to add a wish for Coach Douglas's daughter Chelsie ( hope that spelling is correct ). She was hurt late in the game somewhere in the area of the knee. Her mom was thinking it is muscular as opposed to liagament and was gonna wait untill today to evaluate it more. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from the Big Daddy family !
  18. Congrats to the Lady Saints. Disappointing loss for the Lady Bears. Seemed to get away from some of the things that had brought success the last couple of games. Also, the big turnover monkey reared it's ugly head again. Don't know the final number of turnovers but am guessing it was a big number. Another double digit point night for #00 H.Haight. I don't know how this very thin girl works inside where the bulk works but evidently no one has told her she can't. And she has made a beleiver out of me.
  19. Good hard fought win for the orange and black. Congrats to Coach Kelsch and the Panthers. Never been disappointed by a game in the Den, truly one of my favorite places to see a ballgame. Second that thought by A-Town Pride on Joey Crouch. A big three at a crucial time. I admire his hustle and dedication. Takes a true team player to hit practice every day knowing that your minutes are most likely going to be few. Never seen Joey dog it though - always 110%. Sure makes a coaches job easier when he looks down the bench.
  20. Tough loss for the orange and black. Look forward to the homecoming games tonight at the Panther Den. Big Daddy is heading down early for a good seat. Also to look for my old buddy URIT. I'll save him a seat and try to explain to him the do's and don'ts of BGP. LOL. Cut that practice short tonight URIT. Homecoming ball in the Panther Den - seats will be going fast!
