Fairview High School's original colors were the same as Morehead and were even referred to a the screamin' Eagles. But the BAND uniforms came in Red, Black and White in the late '50's or early 60's and the adminsitration didn't want to pay for others. soooooo...... They are now red, black and white because of band.

Just to let everyone know that Ashland and Pendleton won't be playing tonight because of the weather. I'm not sure about the other games.

Matt is fine. He taped it up and practiced yesterday full force.

Not by his call. He said that it was illegal to instigate A crowd. We argued that he wasn't taunting and he agreed but was "instigating" a crowd. I would like to see the rules regulating this. Players jump around and high five. Is this also a form of instigation for their crowd to cheer along with their players? Or is it only if directed straight to the crowd?

With great success comes great resposibility. I love the fact that Elliott has the ability to win the region this year, and the next, but how will they handle the internal pressure of the bullseye? I understand that they've been people to death here early, but people on here seem to think that there is a problem within the team. I hope not, no one needs to be jealous. Just enjoy that fact that you are on top of the mountain and not in the valley. Some might want to "stir the pot". By why? Haters? I hope not. If there is internal issue Coach May and the staff will work on it. But how will they know what to do? is another question. Never really faced this type of disruption. As for the boys, they are just BOYS, not men. They need guidance and by what I've seen they've got it. So good luck and stay out of the "pot"!!

This is what I was referred to. John coached the JV last year and Brian coached the 8th or 9th and helped out with the varsity. Maybe this is where the confusion is coming from.

You are telling me that Roger moved John Stacey from JV to 8th grade? If John wanted to thats fine, but other wise its a joke. John was a point guard for him in the early 90's and knows how to coach and knows the game.

Please. I know for a fact that coaches and school reschedule all the time for times like this. They are to blame. Now, if PLD wouldn't... Then I blame them. What would've happend an ACL tears for a blowout.

As for administration, Coach, AD, Principal... Someone should have stepped up and said we need to move this game.

My guess on the cover would be a split with Rose Hill and Elliott. Something along the lines of the little schools verses the larger. That is what I would do. It would be cool to see Rick May and Tim Fraley in boat, with something like "Little fish in a big Pond".. They had Marv Meredith in a boat back in the '80s...

But IF most of, or in this case all, your varsity is playing football why not call the other team and set up a make up date? I blame the administration if this is true.

I saw the Elliott boys play and they look bigger, stronger, and faster. With the fact they won last year and are as I just mentioned, shouldn't they be the run away favorite? I certainly believe so. It will take a special night for any team in the 16th to beat them. I'll even go out and say they have what it takes to go far in the state.

JD Adams is about actually 6'1", maybe 6'2". Chris will become a good player. He works hard and is very coachable.

Seniors Thomas and Coleman, Juniors Bonner, Bowling, and Matt Rowe, Sophs JD Adams and Will Skaggs, Freshman Chris Johnson. The boys played well. Strong and fast. They really looked for each other.

Any word on the Jack Fultz? Date, times, teams?

It is over! The boys are out and going strong. I hate it for the football team, but a whole month of practice before their first game will be nice, and not just 5 or 6 practices.

I could care less either way. Rose Hill has theirs, Ashland and everyone has theirs. It will play out in the end. I would just like to see everyone agree to disagree and drop it.

I believe Boyd's tournament is cancelled. Ashland is going to Henry County now. Strong competion with several 8th region teams represented. Shelby, Oldham, Henry... and a few from Louisville.

At Ashland we have to wait on several....

That freshman bunch is unbelievable. If they stay healthy and together, watch out! Possible state trophy!
