Northern Kentucky Coaches Poll Week 3
Coachg13207 replied to uk#1fan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Who would you put in to remove Boone? Boone has played a tough schedule, arguably the toughest. Madison Central is very good and the #2 and #4 teams in NKY. They should probably be higher. I have not got a look at CCH yet, but Madison Central could be #2 on this list. I have seen Cooper, Boone and SK of the top 10 teams. -

Is Campbell County the favorite to win NKY 6A?

So, Danville is the best defense SK will see this year? What do you expect the score of the Scott Co. game to be? -

Colerain/Ryle Predictions Foxsports Game Of The Week
Coachg13207 replied to uk#1fan's topic in KY Football (High School)
Ryle has to have one of the toughest schedules in the state. Every non 6A school they play could win NKY 6A this year. If they stay healthy it could help come the post season. Colerain can name the score here. I believe Ryle will score at least one time though. -

Congrats! Enjoy! I do want to ask though. Where will SK wind up this year, 10-0, 8-2? -

Why do kids leave SK (or any school) to go to school elsewhere? Instead of blaming other schools for kids leaving, maybe you need to look within. They leave for a reason. If they felt the education was superior would they leave? If they felt there was a better opportunity for playing time would they leave? The SK fans only need to look as far as Mr. Swanson for an answer. He was playing in all parts of the game last year. How much offense has he played so far? This is one reason kids leave. Most kids want to play. They do not want to play only one side of the ball. Another reason is favoritism. I hear there is a lot of this going on at SK. I do not have facts, but have heard it several times. I would think the education at BW is better than some other schools also. I know from my sons experience it was. There is a better chance of one on one or what ever type of help a student needs when there are fewer students to deal with. He needed help and it was always there. It is easy to blame others for your problems. If you don't want kids to leave build a better program, from education to athletics to moving on to college. JMO -
I have not got to see CCH yet. I would not use Holy Cross as a comparison for anything. They were senior loaded last year and played several guys both ways. HC will struggle this year. They may be lucky to win 2-3 games. I will go with CCH over Cooper figuring they have similar talent and will be better prepared by a better coaching staff.

Remember Clyde, we are talking about Boone County.

NO! Cooper is good and may be the best team in 5A or 6A. We will on 9-28 at Conner. They are not at the HHS level. Scott Co. thought they were, we see how that worked out. Someone mentioned in another thread that HHS should schedule Cooper next year. They may want re-evaluate that. Cooper is senior loaded. There are several key players going both ways, including the QB. Cooper needs to enjoy this, it could be back to reality next year. Playing in 5A may help them compete more, but keep expectations in check. JMO

I think Nuss made a big difference. He will take some pressure off of Erdman. Erdman needs to get a break, IMO. I am sure there is someone on the team that can be the punt protector. They threw the ball some. They had a long TD pass and run of about 67 yards. SK ran the second half kick off back. BW never really threatened in the second half. The best drive they had ended with a fumble late in the 4th qtr. Was he down by the way? I could not tell if the ball was out before he hit. -

They also recruit coaches! Congrats on being 2-0 SK fans. It will help your record, but that is all. I would not hang my hat on beating these 2 teams. I watched Boone play last week. Where these 2 teams are right now, I will go with Boone. It may change in a couple weeks, but we will see. While SK is playing Danville and BW, Boone is playing big schools the first 2 weeks. Madison Central is the best team I have looked at the first 2 weeks. Cooper would be second as of right now. It is early in the season. We will see where 6A shakes out. I will say it is a good thing for the current 6A teams that Conner and Cooper are now in 5A. -

Coachg13207 replied to PurplePride92's topic in KY Football (High School)
I agree with you Guru. I did not see, but we must of ran into some of the same fans. I was shocked how some of the players handled themselves. Why did Moss not play for Boone? Why did the refs allow the Central head coach to stand in the middle of the field and argue with them over a call after he called a timeout and sent his team toward the sideline? I thought that would be an automatic flag. # 59 Could be a very good player. -
Of the 5 teams on your list and their opponents I would rank them like this: Cov Cath Madison Central Cooper Boone NCC Ryle Simon Kenton Danville Campbell Dixie Madison Central is good. If they played a more fundamental game they could be even better.

Why does LCC not run the ball more? With an offensive line that big I would run all day. I guess sometimes you just out smart yourselves. -
