  1. Should be a dandy-gotta get down that way on Friday! Tickets available on ticketmaster or EBay???
  2. The more that I read these posts, the more I can't wait till the possible rematch.......no disrespect to the other 2 teams in the playoffs, but in all likelihood the Admirals and Panthers will square off again in 3 weeks and we'll see if the big dog is officially off the porch and a new cat has moved into town!
  3. Dragons find a way to win this one; probably by a late interception: Harlan 24 Somerset 20
  4. Frankfort is in the catbird's seat, that is for sure!! Don't think that either themselves or Danville want to go to Bardstown and play either the Tigers or Bethlehem for that matter....
  5. Don't know about "tough place to play" unless things have changed up that way; I am sure that they are bringing more fans to the place but it really reminds me of Frankfort's place-kind of small and dark lighting...I would think that the Panthers would feel right at home Also, do not see them having trouble stopping Bird; Admirals held him to about 40 yards two weeks ago, and I believe he got most of that vs. the Junior Varsity Squad. Frankfort shut down Danville's backs completely. He won't see over 50 rushing vs. the starters in my opinion.
  6. Gotta explain that one 1982; Harp is the offensive coordinator if I am not mistaken. You are saying replace him??? I am confused and not sure what you are talking about...
  7. I agree, if this were the BCS...thank goodness we don't play by those set of rules, even though the set of rules that we do play with frustrates me at times as well.
  8. Harp is a great one, no doubt. Perry is a great one, no doubt. It will take the players in a rematch, I fully believe that. Nothing that I saw Danville do was any different than they have done all year with their offense in winning 9 games; it looked to me that they did not excecute up front AT ALL on both sides of the ball and the Panthers made them pay dearly for it. I also saw those heads begin to hang right after the fumbled kickoff to open the 2nd half. That worries me big time! Do those players not know how to play through adversity? That to me is the deciding factor-the kids wanting it so badly that they will sell out and go all out till the whistles blow every down, not just when things are going well. There is no coaching around that can make the players do this-they have to find the will and courage to get it done as players; Be a warrior and go to war!!
  9. Franklin Co.'s offense is just too much for Coach Graham and the Thouroghbreds; will be close for about a half but huge plays from Ammons in the 2nd half prove to be too much: Franklin Co. 38 Harrison 15
  10. I will go with EJ Fields as well; played HUGE in a big game and beat the #1 ranked team in Class A soundly.
  11. Russell will get the running clock. Fleming Co. is very overmatched- Russell 56 Fleming Co. 7
  12. This should be a good game; winner gets Frankfort(unless Trimble Co. does the unthinkable) and the loser turns in their equipment. Don't look for a blowout-both are pretty evenly matched but I give the advantage to the Carroll Co. offense. The Rose kid is pretty good.
  13. Agree! I am sure that the actual rankings don't really matter to the coaches and players, only to the fans. If, however, this were the BCS....................
  14. I would agree; that schedule makes a difference; some teams don't play the caliber teams that maybe they should in the pre-season that gets them ready for district play/playoffs.
  15. I think a little bit of both; be smart, run your offense for the most part, but know in the back of your mind that you probably will see each other again in the 2nd round of the playoffs. I think that Bethlehem will have to do more and show more to win the game. But, there is nothing wrong with a few wrinkles to try and get that extra score that you might need late in the game. Also, the score might matter as well-I say that in the context of say you get behind by a lot; no way I would show everything in my bag; save that stuff for a possible rematch or even for the playoffs in general.
  16. So, whomever wins the 2nd round game between the District 2 teams(should be Frankfort and Danville round 2) would host the Regional title game vs. either a Bardstown, Bethlehem, or maybe Holy Cross....whew, that makes me feel a lot better assuming(and you know what that gets you) the Admirals can get to the finals.
  17. Carroll County wins by 4, setting up a probable rematch with Frankfort in round 1 of the District playoffs..Owen sits it out this year-the way some have described the 1st matchup between the two Panther teams, I wonder how it will play out having to be played in Frankfort(if all of the rumors were true about coaches/players, arguing, thumbtacks, tables, ladders and chairs, run ins by other wrestlers, etc).....you get my drift
  18. I still look for special teams and/or a defensive score to swing the game in the Tigers favor; Jackson will be held under 50 yards rushing-Eagles will be forced to throw more than they would like to...Graves may score 3 times....still like Bardstown doubling up the Eagles....
  19. I would say ahead of Danville at least 2 spots, wherever Danville falls to...maybe like this? Bardstown Mayfield Frankfort Danville Beechwood
  20. Lincoln controls their own destiny; being in that position is a wonderful thing to have! Beat the Indians, play at home!
  21. So, for example, if let's say Danville beats Frankfort in round two(pray pray) and makes it to the Regionals, and there sits Bardstown or Bethlehem as a #1 seed, then by rule the Admirals would have to play away for the title?? Is that right??
  22. I agree; I think that the pressure will be on both teams to perform....don't think that the Panthers won't be ready for a rematch, and don't think for one second that the Admirals can't beat the Panthers at their place. It will be a classic if they meet, mark it!
  23. What makes you think that SuperB???
