  1. Bardstown only dresses 12, still wins by 34........ Sorry KCD fans, had to be a little silly; seriously, Tigers by 48..........
  2. Anyone know how Danville's practices have gone the past 2 weeks? Are they really ready to make a run???????
  3. Or issue them small clubs or numchucks; anything to slow down Fields and Robinson I guess; I have heard some pretty strange accusations before, but.............. well, all I can say is that it would take Mick Foley and a bag of thumbtacks, a steel cage, and maybe a barbed wire flaming bat to slow down Frankfort; they are hot(and sticky} and will beat Carroll by a bunch!
  4. Sorry Knute; I mentioned McGlone in a post after I put these up; just tried to do a top 10 but I am sure these guys deserve consideration too...probably should have put Downs in there as well-he is a heck of a coach.
  5. New Cath. wins by 21; too much Thoroubreds(sp) in this one. Holy Cross can not beat NCC twice in one year, just aint "feelin" that!!
  6. I too like the Cougars; they are getting hot, and the Eagles are in the way. Looking for a potential rematch of Holy Cross and Bardstown. I will say: Cougars 27 Eagles 12
  7. Yeah, you ought to swing through and catch a Danville Admirals game if you get the chance; they play pretty good football for Class A!!
  8. Nichols is a great coach, but I believe he won't get the props because of the lack of titles, but give him time and it could very well happen..
  9. Louisville Holy Cross, #3 seed, will beat #2 seed Bethlehem #3 seed NCC beats #2 seed Cov. Holy Cross #3 seed Trigg Co. beats #2 seed Ft. Campbell #3 Franklin Co. beats #2 East Jessamine #4 Campbell Co. beats #1 Boone Co. #3 Scott Co. beats #2 Henry Clay
  10. Oh my dear Lord....................are you married????????????????? Is she still around???????????? If she is, do you remember what she looks like???
  11. Yes Oldbird, you've gotta explain that one!!! I did forget McGlone, Hilton and Haywood; sorry about that! These guys flat get it done as well.
  12. If the yellow and black Panthers stay within 30 points of the orange and blue Panthers I will be shocked... Frankfort 50 Carroll Co. 13
  13. this one will get pretty ugly; sorry Lloyd Memorial fans but Mercer Co. seems to be destined for a path to Papa John's, with Western or Larue Co. in the way: Titans 56 Lloyd Memorial 12
  14. Mercer has no problems until their big anticipated Regional Finals game with Western. That one will be fun(IF it happens)!!
  15. No way Danville scores 67 on Trimble; this game will be closer than the last time; Trimble Co. wil make plays and both teams might have their minds on a 2nd shot at Frankfort in the 2nd round...Trimble is much, much improved. Hope the Ads took the time off to refocus on getting to Papa John's; it starts with the Raiders, not the Panthers!!
  16. 1. Dale Mueller-Highlands(going to build a new building to put state title tropies in) 2. Bob Schiender-NCC(heard he has won a few games) 3. Bob Redman-Male(I'll take "athletes" for $100 Alex) 4. Sam Harp-Danville(7 titles in 17 or so years at school, pretty good percentage if you go for that sort of thing) 5. Mike Glaser-St X.(Tigers tough, beat teams much) 6. Bob Beatty-Trinity(luck of the Irish I guess) 7. Joe Morris-Mayfield(been in the state semi's more times than Pres. Bush has said something stupid) wow!! 8. Mike Holcomb-Breathitt Co.(dem dere mountain boyz can shoore chunk dat hogball around; and win a lot of games and titles too!!) 9. Tom Larkey-Rockcastle Co.(trips to Louisville seem to go through Mt. Vernon a lot) 10. Mike Jackson-Pikeville(Panthers pound people, play near perfection, produce prizes) sorry, couldn't think of a good word for trophies that started with a "p"!!
  17. Trimble Co. deserves a world of "great jobs" for what they pulled off in Bedford this year; having watched that team in Danville 3 weeks or so ago they didn't look like any teams that I had seen play the Ads in the past 4-5 years. They had a slew of good players, and were fundamentally sound and got after it! Coach P. has that program going in the right direction; if you want a quality program you have to start with, in my opinion, how you are perceived by your peers. Many on this site have praised their season and rightfully so. Now, work on becoming a top-notch program by doing things like: 1. improving your field, including stands for fans 2. Make off-season workouts/conditioning a top priority 3. Always work on team chemistry, even off the practice fields 4. Set your goals high and keep them there-don't just settle for a winning season, shoot for Regional titles/trips to semifinals and Championship games! Good luck and we'll see you in Danville this Friday night!!
  18. Field turf rules! Natural grass is so dirty...............
  19. Here are my top 5 teams to win Class A, in no particular order: 1. Bardstown(looooooaaaaaddddddeeeeeedddddddd) 2. Beechwood(different dance, same song) 3. NCC(#3 seed and down?? Whatever....) 4. Mayfield(see #2) 5. tie: Frankfort and Danville(lil brother smacked big bro in the chops 2 weeks ago; will it be dejavu all over again??) Sleeper pick: Cov. Holy Cross(if they get out of their region, WATCH OUT!)
  20. Depends on who you talk to about the Admirals of Danville; some would say they exceeded their expectations of beating Boyle, winning 9 games, while others will say that Danville fell short of doing what they were expected to do, like win 10 games, secure home field throughout the playoffs, etc...for me, I guess it is a little bit of both!
  21. Lincoln Co. is hot baby!! They get out of that region, watch out in the semis!!! Would hate to play them when those 2 backs are rollin!!! Congrats Coach French and Patriot staff-they have the right mix of veteran and young coaches to get those kids to play at a very high level week in and week out; I know that they have 2 former Danville players on their staff(Clevenger, Jeremy Vaught) so congrats to those guys too..you are still part of the Admiral Nation but now you belong to the Patriot Pack!!!
  22. Guess my predictions of a big special teams/defensive play didn't pan out. Oh well-nice win Tigers; earning that home field advantage is huge for them, especially now that they will get to face either Bethlehem or Holy Cross in a rematch in round 2 at their place(a tough place for visiting teams to go in my opinion). Downs and Co. just keep on rolling; probably has some of the best momentum in Class A going into the playoffs-look out Class A!!
  23. So, what do you think? Trimble held Frankfort to 20 points, Danville gave them 33. But, Danville scored 54 on Trimble in their 1st meeting. I say the game is closer, but Danville wins it to set up a rematch with the Panthers in 2 weeks... Danville 38 Trimble Co. 13
