  1. 42-21; what a joke! This game is decided by 10 or less, going either way in my opinion.. I am ready!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Starting to get a bit nervous; can the Admirals make it back to the dance or will Mayfield make their 2nd trip in a row to Papa John's??????? Tick tock, tick tock....
  3. Ok, now the receivers for Danville: Macon-big and tall(6'5", around 220lbs); can go up and get the ball and has decent speed for a big guy. Has around 25 or so catches for around 700 yards I believe......if this kid will just get in the weightroom and really focus on being the man out there(have heard some scuttlebutt that he at times doesn't take the preparation part of the game very seriously) then he will dominate central ky the next few years. Can be a game breaker.. Henderson-great first couple of games, but this soph. has failed to show up since about week 2 or 3....pretty good size(around 6', maybe 160 or so)...I can remember seeing him drop the ball repeatedly, especially vs. Boyle Co. and Somerset.......quick but doesn't look very physical to me. Just a soph. and makes soph. mistakes-again, probably a lot like Macon in his preparation for games..could be a consistent weapon, but probably another year away at least. Morris- gamebreaker!!!!!! Senior with unbelievable speed and moves; getting him the ball means a chance for a big play! Runs very well, doesn't drop the ball; at times runs timidly in my opinion but he is probably a receiver first, a wingback second. If he gets his hands on it, watch out! Also a great return specialist. What about the Cardinal receivers????
  4. So, what about match ups? How do you feel that they look overall? Probably don't know as much about Mayfield as I should...can someone give me the scoop? For Danville, let's start with the qb spot: Quarterback: Witten/2 year starter; big time baseball player; decent size, very good arm; accuracy is pretty good as well. Does a good job with the offense, tends to rush some throws. Not a threat to run but isn't afraid to. Has thrown for over 1600 yards and 25 tds this year. Does a good job but this will be the biggest game he has ever played in, maybe more so than the baseball playoffs last year. 21-2 as a starter(didn't start the first two games last year I believe. Anyone with the lowdown on Shelton??
  5. From An Admiral fan to all of the Cardinal fans, this is gonna be one to remember. Be safe heading East and let's do one that the state will remember. Whomever wins this one, win the title! Splitting our teams up into different classifications to me is a travesty; the annual post-Turkey day game has become as big a part of me and h.s. football as anything else. Your team/program is truly a classy, well-respected bunch in the eyes of this Danville fan; red vs. blue, power vs. power, up vs. down, left vs. right! Doesn't matter how you look at it, Admirals and Cardinals for the right to walk on the turf is truly how it should be.......... OLDSKOOL
  6. Well, it is time for one of the more classiest rivalries in the state to come to a close; the Admirals and Cardinals playing for the right to head to Louisville and contend for a Class A championship. With the new realignment next year Mayfield remains in Class A while Danville heads to Class AA; Cardinals must make the 4+ hour bus ride to Danville on Friday.....what is your take on this one?? This should be another amazing battle and with it being the last potential game ever between the two teams I look for nothing short of a BATTLE!!! What do you think????
  7. Hot dog, another Danville vs. Mayfield classic!!!!!!!!!! Great job Admirals-one more and we're dancing in Pizza land!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Let's just kick this thing off and see what happens!!!!!! Wonder how much the rain over the next 2 days will play a factor. Both teams like to run it, but Danville has the ability to throw it around too; much more balanced than Bethlehem.
  9. I am looking forward to it! I think that both teams will be ready to go, and that the one that makes the fewest mistakes and can take advantage of field position will win. Each team cannot afford to let the other team hit a couple of big plays and go up 2 touchdowns or more, although if this were to happen I still would favor Danville because of their receiver play. From what I read on here Bethlehem is all about Jackson and maybe 1 or 2 more players; for Danville I think that 7-9 guys could be the difference in the game and I really like those odds. Are both teams healthy?? I am sure that the Admirals are pretty sore from hitting and hitting and hitting the Frankfort backs...
  10. I believe that the game will be played in Harrodsburg; don't quote me on that
  11. I am almost positive we won't be seeing them on here unless the Admirals lose to Bethlehem next week-I don't think that they have much to say about the game other than ouch.
  12. Great job Bethlehem!!! I look forward to the game next Friday-I remember Jackson last year runnin over and around Danville's defense. See you at Admiral Stadium in about a week(yes, no trip to Bardstown!!)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Domination...........hey, where is Hip Hop Box???????? Danville did exactly what they needed to do tonight defensively-Perry is a freakin genius! Fields cannot throw the ball AT ALL; once they were forced to throw it they were in serious trouble. Lots of plays come to mind from watching the game but here are my top 6: First interception by Morris; set the tone! Strode for about 90 yards to make it 13-0; heck of a run! Macon's pick at the end of the half that he almost returns for a td; Fields makes a tackle or Ads lead at least 19-0 at half blocked punt for a safety-HUGE momentum swing back to Danville Strode's last td run right after (I believe) Franfort scored their only points of the night. Macon scoops up a fumbled pitch and rumbles in for a td...looked like #21 made no effort to catch the pitch from Fields. By the way, anyone that knows anything about football and watched the defense noticed #56, Hughes. He DOMINATED up front and absolutely destroyed the Panthers' center on numerous occasions. He was held practically on every play in my opinion. Also, Frankfort may have speed(2 or 3 guys) but Danville has TEAM SPEED; that defense was absolutely flying to the ball on every play! Home for the Regionals! I am still in shock!!!!!!!!!!! Just knew if we won I would have to look at purple and gold; way to go Eagles!!!!
  14. 3 1/2 hours away...........I am stoked baby!!!!!!!! Let's rock and roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (remember, it aint over till it's over)...................... winner gets District title and a shot at Bardstown/Bethlehem winner-how much more fun could you ask for as a football fan???!!!!!!!!???????? Kick it off.................................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. It sure isn't Danville; the Ads are lucky to have 100 fans in the stands unless it is a Boyle Co, Mayfield or Holy Cross(maybe Bardstown)..some of the worse fans in the state for a premier program in my opinion!
  16. http://www.hometownlive.net; enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(hope us Admiral fans do)
  17. Just a quick comment about the field conditions in the last meeting; I know that it rained A BUNCH the days previous to the game, yet the field looked very, very dry to me(with the exception of the visitors sideline/stands/parking lot). I was also over near the Panther sideline/stands and it was very dry as well. How was this possible? Overheard someone mention a helicopter may have had a hand in this???? Anyone know about it???????
  18. Boyle Co. works a little "Rebel Magic" and sends the Warriors home wondering what just happened...will be a huge crowd, but Boyle has been in this situation way too many times the past 8 years or so; they find a way to win this one by 10. Josh Miller will score at least twice and a big trick play early puts the Rebels up to stay! Rebels 28 Warriors 18
  19. I pray that the Admirals are ready to play a full game this time, not quit when the scoreboard has them behind; because I believe that they will probably have to play from behind some in this game. This game is won or lost in the trenches, point blank....if the Ads stop/slow down significantly either Fields or Robinson they will win, if they don't they will lose... No score from me at all this week; just can't do it
  20. Wasn't being disrespectful about the field conditions; I am just glad that both teams get to play on a nice surface that cuts down on the injuries and allows both teams to do what they do best....No knock on Trimble at all; their field just isn't in tip top condition and all of the rain we have had over the past few weeks hasn't helped; but I am sure they are addressing that......
  21. Thank goodness for the field conditions at Admiral Stadium!!
  22. I will take the Rebels and 20 points........
  23. It is official............................................. Michigan State is now open!!!!!!! As for coaching jobs in Kentucky, didn't I read on here that the Bethlehem job will be open when their season ends???
  24. Playoff time baby, I love it!! Weather gets cold, snotbubbles, smokin heads(anyone ever seen a player take their helmet off when it is cold will get where I am comin from), hot chocolate, sideline heaters; ahh................. Admirals get ready to drop anchor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's playoff time!!!!!!! Make a run, and I aint talkin about to Taco Bell!!!!!!!
