After Frankforts big win over #1 Danville, where do they go in the rankings and how low does Danville slide?

 

IMO, Frankfort moves to #3 behind Bardstown and Beechwood and Danville slides to #5 behind these 3 and Mayfield..

 

Anyone else?

Don't think that will happen, should move into the top 10, but not to #3. Where???

I thought they were already #6, but I may be wrong.

That's a great question. It will be interesting to see where they go in the AP poll. I am w/csa, I think they make the top 10 list this week but won't go into the top 5. Remember though, we are talking about coaches votes so who knows where they will put them.

Not a bad list. Frankfort may move that high on BGP list but not the AP/Lit/Cantrell ratings. I don't know much about the Bethlehem team. I guess they will find out how good they are this weekend.

Frankfort should jump to #2 - but I don't look for it to happen.

Bardstown has not played like a #1 here recently. I'm sure the polls will put them there, though. Beechwood should probably be first. Bardstown and Mayfield 2nd and 3rd, Frankfort 4th, Danville 5th, Cov. Holy Cross 6th, NCC 7th, Bethlehem 8th, LCA 9th.

The way Metcalfe Co is playing, they could make an argument to get in the top 10 mix...Pikeville and Somerset, as well..

Least impressive preformances of the week turned in by Danville and Mayfield with the Ads getting beat and Mayfield not winning impressively for the 2nd straight week. NCC is still a big question mark and I had felt Mayfield should have been ranked ahead of them until their poor showings the past 2 weeks.

That wasn't a good loss, for sure, but, that was at the 1st of the season..Look at how Caldwell Co started out and I don't hear too many people questioning them now...Adair isn't good but at least they are a 3a team and for the most part, a 3a team should beat a 1a team...

Frankfort's other loss was also to a 3A team, Mason County (7-2), which has been solid defensively all year, by a 14-12 score. (Lafayette scored 21 against Mason, the most of any opponent this season.)

 

Now Frankfort has beaten Danville in convincing fashion. Beechwood has no recent wins of similar quality. There is no way that Frankfort should not leap frog Beechwood, IMO. Frankfort may not win another game this season, but the proved that they were better than the BGP #1 team on the field Friday night, and its record is too good to think that the game was a fluke.

There were other teams besides Beechwood and Danville that were ahead of Frankfort...Bardstown, Mayfield, N.Catholic...Granted, they beat the reigning #1, but, all these other teams won also..I believe they deserve to be ranked above Danville and maybe even Mayfield and NCC, but, I'm not so sure they deserve to leapfrog Beechwood and Bardstown just yet...
