Thats the whole point...Some teams get recognized and some don't and imo, it depends more on past tradition than whats actually been done on the field...Granted, for preseason rankings and even into the 1st few weeks of the season, this could be understood, but, when 1 team clearly beats another, has a similar record against similar opposition and similar scores to the same opposition, it just doesn't make sense...

If Danville and Frankfort meet again, which is very likely under the new playoff system (don't get me started ... :lol:), I would still probably pick Danville to win. But it's hard to overlook a 20-point spanking.

I personally think that Frankfort should be higher, at least 1 spot above the Admirals, but what the heck do I know???

And thats okay..I may be inclined to pick 'em myself, but, do you think Danville should be ranked higher at this point in the season, based on whats transpired?

Because it was a 20-point win, I would have to vote Frankfort ahead of Danville. And Frankfort's credentials going in were already pretty good.

I guess the Frankfort win was a fluke to the coaches around the state! I would switch places w/HC and Frankfort.

Maybe you will get recognized with a state championship trophy! Forget the computers,forget the geek sportswriters. the only thing that matters is what happens on the field.don't forget this is NOT the BCS!

You aren't right taking a pot shot at me like that. Putting Frankfort infront of HC has nothing to do w/hate. Since they just knocked off one of the most dominating football teams in the state, I feel it fitting to put them ahead of HC. HC hasn't beaten anyone lately to speak about. I will put HC #2 next week if they beat BHS Friday! Does that make you feel better Sportsfan34?

After we beat HC Friday, the way all the HC fans are talking I pray they beat NCC so they will get another chance at BHS. That way, BHS can give them another old fashion whippin' to end their season.

Here's a little food for thought: Any team can be beaten on any given night and the best team doesn't always win.

 

Sorry about the pot shot, but everything I have read that you have written about HC has been neg. Ya know, Friday both teams are going to play their hearts out and the game can go either way. HC isn't that much better than BHS and vise-versa. :dancingpa

I have to agree with you.. A convincing win and overall ytd performance should have pulled them ahead of Danville...I think 3rd or 4th is where they should be and Danville right behind them, because, other than the Frankfort loss, they've been pretty impressive...
