Where does Frankfort go now in the 1a polls?

I agree, if this were the BCS...thank goodness we don't play by those set of rules, even though the set of rules that we do play with frustrates me at times as well. :)

Up, ahead of Danville. They must have kicked some rear end.

I would think so, but, you never know....Cov Holy Cross defeated NCC a few weeks ago and NCC stayed ahead....

Big difference between a 3-point win and a 20-point win. I still think the win over NewCath was an upset.

Yeah, it probably was, but, Holy Cross still only had 1 loss and they've beaten the Daytons, Ludlows, etc. as bad as Beechwood and NCC have. You have to admit tradition plays as big a part as performance sometimes..I can see that in the preseason polls, but, once teams have 6-7 games under there belt, it should be based on what has happened on the field.

If Holy Cross had played the same schedule NewCath did, they would have a heck of a lot more than one loss.

Amen!! Everyone will find out how good HC is come Friday night, sorry another subject but it was brought up.

Frankfort to #5, no higher.

Again, I believe that wherever you put Danville you put Frankfort 1 or 2 steps ahead of them. Having 2 losses hurts them, but it looks more and more like those 2 losses were to pretty good teams.

Meaning? In your estimation, is Holy Cross underrated, overrated or rated about right?

I don't doubt that, so, the only real comparison you can make is against the same opposition they have played and head to head...When you look at the same teams they've played, the scores are similar and they beat them head to head, so, wheres the logic except for the traditional name over one with not such history, plain and simple...

Beechwood & Mayfield also have 2 losses and NCC has more than that, so, it shouldnt hurt them too bad, especially losing to 2 3a teams with 7-2 records.

Here is the latest Class "A" AP Poll released on Tuesday 10/24/06

Class 1A

1. Bardstown (10) 9-0

2. Beechwood (2) 7-2

3. Cov. Holy Cross - 8-1

4. Danville - 9-1

5. Mayfield - 7-2

6. Frankfort - 7-2

7. Bethlehem - 9-0

8. Raceland - 8-1

9. Metcalfe Co. - 8-1

10. Lex. Christian - 7-2

I guess the Frankfort win was a fluke to the coaches around the state! I would switch places w/HC and Frankfort.

hmmm. Metcalfe lost to Adair co. in week 4 and now they're in the top 10 thats not accurate at all. Frankfort doesn't move above Danville thats kind of odd as well. Oh well, one more week and they can't "pick" who is in the top ten. Playoff time will tell us if these teams in the top 10 are deserving.
