I seriously doubt that the onside kick in the football game will be in anybody's mind during basketball season, especially Coach Carr. As far as the starters being left in too late, the only huge issue of this was in the Conner game, other than that I haven't had too much of a problem with it.

I seem to remember this as well.

Simon Kenton already has a practice gym with a rubber floor like Dixie does. The indoor practice facility is going to be turf (from everything I've heard). No this facility will not have the "Bulldog's" name associated with it as he is not funding it. Scott's time will come, just be patient because in a few years their facilities will be brand new and SK's will have aged some.

You couldn't blame any game they lost last year on the bigs because the fact is that they didn't really have any bigs. Reynolds was far from being a presence down low and after him there was another huge drop off. The guards lost some games last year, but thats because every game was on their shoulders. You also have to realize that last year was really the first year that it was their team. The previous year they were contributors on a very senior-led team. With another year of experience and the new coach they will be the bright spot on this team yet again, only question will be if the bigs can handle their part of the job.

Just curious but what are you basing your opinion on? SK lost big time contributors to graduation whereas Walton returns everybody. The fact that Walton split with SK last year and with the progression of Walton's big guys makes me feel like they have an even better chance to beat SK this year.

Pretty sure he was an assistant coach for the girls last season. He hasn't coached at HC for a couple years.

The key to Walton's success will be how the bigs play. They are very deep at the guard position but what they've been lacking is a presence down low. The guards will be the leaders of this team but they will only be able to go as far as the post players allow them to.

Unless Jordan Ponzer from Walton graduated, I'd say he is their player that would deserve the consideration to be on that list.

I find it comical that some are actually defending running up the score. Blowing a team out and running up the score are two different things. Blowing a team out is making a statement and doing it with class by pulling the starters when the result is no longer in question. What SK did Friday night was not classy at all, not to mention the fact that they risked injuring their players by keeping them in a game that was out of hand. I'm surprised Conner kept their cool and didn't start throwing some late hits and cheap shots in response to the starters for SK being in at the end of a 42 point game. What makes this game even more ironic is the fact that this is a program that for years took their fair share of beatings and preached about how it was classless for the other team to run up the score that much. The difference between the beatings SK took and this is that almost all of those beatings ended with the other team pulling their starters. That said, I'm glad SK won the game, just not how they finished it.

This game could go either way and will likely end up in the upper 30's to 40's for both teams. The only reason I'm saying Conner is because I picked them in the regional contest thread so I'm staying true to that. However I would not be shocked at all to see SK win. Either way it'll be an exciting game to watch with a lot of points. Hopefully the SK ground attack can outscore the Conner passing game.

Just like every year the way to beat SK is through the air. Which is why out of the other teams in the district I see Conner giving them the most trouble. This is going to be a fun season to watch as any team could come away with the championship.

They can improve without indeed winning the chapmionship. I think that a competitive game with X, even if they don't win, would be an improvement. Also, they need to have a better regular season. Last year it came down to the wire as to whether they would even make the playoffs.

Took the words right out of my mouth. You know what you are going to get out of the guards. If Burns can continue to develop and progress, this team could turn heads next season. They would have some size and athleticism with Reynolds and Burns along with a good group of guards. His development will determine how far they go.

This is a good win but I wouldn't crown them the All A champs yet. If they can continue to play together then they definitely have a chance to win it. One thing is certain I didn't expect this score. Great win and continue to build on it.

In regards to SuperB, Highlands players aren't strictly from Fort Thomas either. They get many big time players that come from other school districts.
