In a year where the varsity has struggled but played better each week, the JV won another game. This week they played a Ryle team with twice as many players. Both teams worked hard and Conner came out on top. Way to go Cougars!

I know this is kinda off the thread but I heard Cooper is only going to hold around 850.....anyone else hear that?

I totally agree with how this group stays together and pumps each other up rather than jacking around on the sidelines during the game. They encourage each other and always believe they are in the game.

I want to say thank you to the folks at JC last night. Very cordial and you will have a nice stadium when it is completed. Conner had some problems last night but I see where they can grow become a team that surprises people this year. JC has some very good kids. The quaterback, runningback and number 44 were heads above the rest. I think it will be interesting to see how the matchup of JC and Highlands will do in the playoffs at state....JC's size and strength against Highlands speed.

Actually Conner's enrollment this year is around 1800. I am hoping for a good game!

It will be video and natural sound from the game....no commentary though....the camera is normally near the 50 on top of the pressbox.

I have been told if a team wears their game jerseys the scrimmage counts as a game. Conner's practice jerseys do not have numbers and that is what they were wearing. I have also been told you cannot wear past game jerseys either or the same rule applies....anyone else heard this?

I found out today, DI coaches cannot attend but they can and will get the results from the combines.

Conner will be coaching the West, which means Trosper will have to coach two years in a row since Holmes coached last year.

The game is scheduled for Thursday June 7th at Dixie 7PM. I believe the teams are being selected in the next week or so.

The average number of players in attendance is 300 each of the last three years. Typically around 15-20 college coaches either attend or get the information.
