They had an off year but they had two undefeated seasons recently.

I just checked on the Boone County Schools website and the job is not posted but they have not updated the jobs section since 11/27.

Has anyone heard anything more about the coaching change at Conner? Any new names, any meetings by the super secret commitee, any new dates as to when they might annouce the new coach???

I know Beechwood is a Ft Mitchell school but it is an independent school system.

I have talked to alot of other coaches and they have said they did not think Yeagle was a good fit either. They are a much larger school that cannot recruit players to come to a private school like Beechwood.

I think there will be much interest in this job. I do not think Yeagle is a good fit for this job though. Eckstein has 4A experience at Ryle and took that program from it's beginning to a very good place. I don't know that Wolfe has enough experience yet. I think there may be some resumes come from downstate and across the river also.

Everyone seems to forget that Ryle has that 12th man looking down on them from above helping them along their path to Louisville. Randy Cooper will help guide them along from Heaven! Thanks randy!

The Conner kids were told 5:30 last night.

Conner just beat Holmes 33-0. It looks like a good showdown for the title between Conner and Highlands. The first game ended 14-12 with Conner coming up a few inches short of tying the game on a 2 point conversion. I can't wait to watch this game next Thursday!

I do stand corrected on this call. You are right and I found out the same thing tonight. This penalty has changed over the years and I did not know that. Thanks for clearing this up.

There was that play and the first one Campbell scored on where they said there were ineligible players downfield for Campbell, there were and they picked up and the flag. The fourth down play/penalty had all of us confused.If the penalty was declined, it would have been a touchdown. If they took the penalty, then it should have been Conner ball. Conner also should have had a touchdown earlier, the ball broke the plane on the endzone before the back went down and yet they spotted the ball on the 6 inch line and gave the ball to Campbell. Like I said earlier, Campbell's kids played hard and got the win. But the officiating at all levels has been terrible this year.

The score for tonight's Conner/ Campbell County game was 12-0 Campbell. Congratulations to Campbell. Their boys played hard. One thing, and this is not to take away from Campbell's win, the officiating for this game was probably the worst I have seen at any level. I have said this before about the overall officiating in Northern Kentucky and tonight reaffirmed what I and many others have seen. We have been on the winning side of many games this year and still have seen and said the same thing. Sorry for the thoughts....has anyone else seen the decline?

Conner-26, SK-7....Conner goes on championship game. Good game by both teams and also the officials. Conner led 20-0 at halftime. Congrats Cougars!

I bow down to your brother for his service. My brother lost his life 20 years ago while serving in Germany. All this has special meaning to me. In fact, when we first moved to Ky in 1970 from Cincy, my school still sang, "My Old Kentucky Home" and said the pledge each and every morning.

What is sad is there is a Federal Appeals Court Judge is Frankfort who found it necessary to strike down the 300 foot barrier on Wednesday of last week. Sounds like politics at work rather than her being a judge without an agenda. She must have friends in the ACLU who brought the lawsuit in our great state.

Thank you for your kind words and yes, his mom and dad are A1 people. His dad, Col. Tom is my cousin and just a couple of years older than me. I agree with others in this thread, take off your hat, be quiet, show respect for those who have served, those who are serving and those in the crowd about to serve!

Just on a side note, I went to my cousin's son funeral Saturday in London, Ky and those knuckleheads from that "church" in Kansas were there protesting with their signs like, "God loves dead soliders." All I could think of my cousin died in Iraq so these idiots could do this!
