That's GOOD news! Because if he couldn't get any offers and Ammons and Petrino only had one or so, then it looks nearly impossible to play college football at any level unless you have the height. Do you think that would be the same for Ammons and Petrino, that they could have gone to lots of other D2, NAIA schools?
Do you think height was the only factor that resulted in lack of scholarship offers , even for Ammons at 5'11? Would that be the factor even with Division 1AA schools like Eastern, Murray, or Morehead? I didn't hear Kaelin had any offers except from Georgetown.
It's hard to believe that two of the top QBs in the state got very few offers this year. Ammons and Petrino both ended up at Georgetown and this is good for them, but is the one factor ...their height...the only thing that kept them from getting any other offers? (I heard Petrino had one more offer from Jacksonville) . They both had remarkable careers, which seems to demonstrate how very difficult it must be to get a scholarship!! Thoughts on this??
Can you elaborate more about this idea about going to a prep school of Junior college? Can you give me an example of a prep school? What's the advantage of going to a junior college to play rather than a regular 4 yr institution?
what positions do these guys play that are committed and visiting Georgetown? Did anybody hear how Kaelin Ammons visit to Georgetown went a week or so ago?
On KCU website, it says they are a nonscholarship school. For schools like this (recent mail from Valparaiso says the same thing), do the players likely get financial aid of other kinds?
That's great.I don't even personally know him but I've read about what a good player he was and all his accomplishments. It doesn't sound too good for a lot of other good players when a player of Kaelin's caliber isn't getting offers.
