It's a long article Guru, and again if I read it correctly, I think it kind of states what I posted. Again, no expert here and it could be that my interpretation is different that what yours would be.

I'm certainly NO informed expert on any of this. Just form opinions from what I hear and read but I think all the power conferences will splinter from the NCAA to form their own organization. The NCAA will then be "everything else". There could be more divisions created, god help us. This of course would kill March Madness and goof up playoffs for college football, etc.

I agree nkpete. You just don't compromise your competitiveness. However, you know the scenarios I posted have happened during MLB history. (I'll forever remember Gene Garber of Braves acting like he had won the National League pennant after striking out Pete Rose to end his hit streak at 44 games.)

You're the opposing pitcher, Pujols comes up and needs just one for #700. 1. You're team's down big or you're team's up big. Do you give Pujols a pitch to hit? 2. It's his last at bat for season, your team's not going anywhere, do you give him a pitch to hit? 3. Tight game, you're already playoff bound and it's Pujols' last at bat before he retires, do you give him a pitch to hit? (Barring injury, I think he'll get it done, St. Louis has about 25 games left)

That's my wife's go to when we visit Frisch's.

Unfortunately, he hasn't been the only one "lost" on the bases this year.

It's pure punishment watching this pitching staff give up lead after lead after lead. If I was an everyday ballplayer on that team I'd be tearing all my hair out.

I'm sure you may be right but Calipari should just keep his mouth shut at times or at least think about what he's saying. Just my opinion.

First, I must premise this by noting I'm not a big Calipari fan, never have been yet I cannot deny what he had done at UK. Second, if anybody on this planet hears the word "Kentucky" and does not think of basketball, they're just not informed. That being said, IMO if you are "the man" at a school regardless of sport you don't diss on your fellow coaches and other university sports. UK football has had pretty decent success lately and it should be somewhat celebrated by all pulling in the same direction. Calipari's mouth, as we all know, is a problem at times. Again, IMO, I think the man's days are somewhat numbered.

The last few years I have noticed the quality of the actual chip has decreased. I'd say Lay's must be using lower grade/cheaper potatoes these days. Just an observation.

Wasn't much of a game. Kind of like the all star games of late, the product on the field is never as good as the pre-game activities or the hype. (I'd have rather watched the Field of Dreams movie again)

Well, that was quick visit. By the way, I'm just about done with listening to the John Sadak guy. He HAD to have been the cheapest announcer on the planet when the Reds signed him to do TV. All the stats this guy fires out I think its just to hear himself talk and boy does he ever. A lot of it is overkill and meaningless in my opinion. I mean who gives a flyin' monkey how fast a dribbler came off a bat on a Sunday with the sun in your eyes after 5pm??? It's nuts! Turning the radio on to listen to Tommy Thrall isn't that much better either. ?

Yeah, that's just it. I have dealt with Ford corporate on another issue years ago and could not get a straight answer. In my opinion they were falling over themselves to cover their back side in the response to me. Same with a GM product I had years ago as well. Seems workmanship and quality at auto companies is not considered in the bottom line any longer.

Wife is looking for piece of mind honestly. Although I told her she probably would never get as much for her car as right now and go for a non Ford. She's VERY loyal (to a fault IMO), has never had anything else but Ford.
