Colonels_Wear_Blue
Anyone else planning on watching tonight? The media coverage I've seen thus far has been pretty great. The Reds will be donning 1919 throwback unis, and the Cubs are going to be wearing jerseys worn by the team from 1927-1936 with the style of hats worn by the team in 1914. Colonels_Wear_Blue
Last year's Field Of Dreams game was the most-watched regular season baseball game on any network since 1998. Joey Votto had some comments yesterday on Twitter about tonight's game and why its so special to him: Watching Field of Dreams before the game tomorrow. I thought I would share a few thoughts about what the movie and this trip mean to me. I was raised on this movie. My family had a collection of VHS tapes and one of them was Field of Dreams. I would watch it often. (🚨spoilers ahead) From 8 or 9 years old, my father and I would play catch together. In retrospect, to me, it was the most important thing we did together. It strengthened our bond. In Field of Dreams, the movie ends with the main character, Ray, and the ghost of his father having “a catch”. My father passed away 14+ years ago. So it is impossible for me not to feel an emotional connection to the moment where Ray asks his father for a catch. One more moment together. Getting the opportunity to play a game at the mythical field that sowed the seeds of hope for a Major League Baseball career is a significant moment for me. Couple that with the father/son connection, and this game is an exceptional moment in my life.
MJAlltheWay24
I'm holding a grudge about it. The whole thing is cool, but they took away a weekend game at GABP against the Cubs for it. I'll be watching UK in the Bahamas instead.

OlDog75
Wasn't much of a game. Kind of like the all star games of late, the product on the field is never as good as the pre-game activities or the hype. (I'd have rather watched the Field of Dreams movie again)
