I think to be classified as a great coach one has to excell in the position as a coach it dosent matter if they were a great high school player or not . There are alot of very sucessful coaches out there that people dont think are great coaches thats a pretty odd question . IM sure we all know what you are trying to get at! I also belive it would take any coach some years to be considered great if that title was given probably not going to happen in 2, 3, or even 4 years i would think greatness comes with time. Pat Summit is a GREAT coach but 4 years into her coaching career i doubt she was consider to be a great coach so i dont hink you can really say weather great high school players make great coaches one thing is certain most great player usually have a GREAT understanding of the game and what it takes to win the rest is up to the kids they are coaching.

Very well put proud polar its nice to see some fans actually support Bracken County ladies Basketball as a whole and i agree i truely belive things will get better on all levels of the program..

If you add up this year and last i believe that gives us 12 that would only be 1 shy of the most wins in 9 years so maybe since you been around a long time you should really look at the numbers before you constintly degrade the program and the Coaching Staff. seems a little classless. And with our schedule so weak we have to play 2 teams who have already beat the Lady Bears . Good Luck Lady BEars Finish Strong .

Im not sure the people of BCHS can do that seems like if a coach dosent get the job done in there first or second year that tings need changed. I agree with you i think he will get the program headed in the right direction just takes some time.

So i guess this new coaching staff has taken Brackens Program downhill im not sure i agree with that 2 winning seasons in 8 years doesn't sound like things were any better before maybe you should just believe things will get better afterall this is a pretty young team. And have really been in just about every game this year with the exception of a few IM not sure but i dont think that things are as bad as you might make them out to be.

I thin keveryone needs to contribute id like to see a-town win this one but they can't have starters with just 1 point they need there upperclassman to step up I look for Hardymon to have a good game and hopefully White will to Like to see coach Kelsch get back to the region 2 straight times he is a great coach and a class act in what ever he does.

I would say Hinson will have his kids ready to play as well as Coach Kelsch but they don't contain Owens and hit there free throws then the out come will probably be the same. JMO

Playing at RUPP no Doubt but either one would bring a player a fan a coach a cheerleader, a lifetime of memories and isnt High School suppose to be about the kids so If you pick all A or if you pick Regional champs i can agree with you on either.

I dont think suicides are part of any practice i think they would be part of conditioning as far as sports for fun i would think any sport you choose to play you would take seriously afterall no one is forcing the kids to play a particular sport they chose to do that and if I wasnt going to take the sport seriously and give 100% then i probably would choose not to play. Because i would think if a kid knows they are doing something for fun then it would not matter how i perform how the team does or how much effort i put forth as long as im having fun. On the other hand you can take things seriouly and still have fun doing it .

Since this is the girls forum i thought you were talking bout the girls Sorry for the misunderstanding as far as the Region record goes since 1998 the Lady Bears are 45-83 against 10th region teams and they are 16-29 against 39th district teams. With an overall record of 80-120 since 1998 threw last season. Doesn't sound like they have been as extremly sucessful as some people have said. IMO
