Let's not judge based on this small snippet. From the film, I don't see a bumping and I don't hear profanity from either. Obviously, there is more than this on the game report. So in the absence of reviewing ALL of the evidence given to the Tennessee board, and with the fact that the associate head coach may or may not be on this film, then let the board decide what they feel is best. I am not saying I condone or reprimand the behavior I saw-just that the ruling contained more than this film.

I have seen both teams, in person, and have stats from their common opponent. I also saw the Lexington Catholic game versus BG where the Purples almost had a running clock. I think comparing the two game scores without actually seeing the games leaves a lot out of the "eye test". Why BG? Trinity and X not only had(have) no answer for Nefarious Fant and also Tisdale as a receiver, and broke contain on Hayes and Pillow many times. Tisdale had an 80 yard slant pass that got called back. T Dbs have shown improvement over the year from Ensworth to last week but BG's passing game is much better. To give a comparison to T fans, Fant is James Quick, Tisdale is Daylen Dawkins, and while I love(d) Travis Wright, he cannot run like Devin Hayes, giving another offensive option. With the game winding down, the BG offense ran the ball 7 straight times and ate up 4 minutes of clock and it was game over. The BG defense isn't as good as Ryan White and Jason Hatcher, but they are pretty good. St Xavier marched into the red zone 7 times against BG but came away with only 4 scores. What I saw was a defense that made plays when they had to. In Trinity's favor: X played BG coming off a very short week ( Sunday-Friday) X played without McCormick and Purcell late in the game. Reggie can make plays against anyone! Brooks can run well both inside and outside. IMVHO, Trinity doubles Fant and holds him to 5 catches and 60 yards. Tisdale scores 4 times( 2 at Slot, 2 at RB) against single coverage and Hayes runs another one in as BG wins 35-28.

I think they are much improved over last year. The quarterback can avoid the blitz and has a very strong arm and nice touch. The defense had 2 nice pics. I thought the O line struggled against the deep d line of stx but the qb avoided the tackler. The wr need to block better and they will break the quick pass outside for more yards. Look it was 14-7 & SK had the ball at midfield and they got sacked twice and stx took over and broke off the long run to make it 21 to 7.

3-3 midway thru the 2nd quarter. Even game up to then after a good fake punt. Trinity quarterback throws a post pattern that is a jump ball between the X defender and the T WR. T WR shows excellent technique, positioning straightened arm between him and the defender and does not push off. He jumps for the ball and keeps the defender away from him and the ball. Touchdown Trinity. It was just textbook example of how to create space as a WR and somewhere along the way this WR got taught by a good WR coach. Kudos to Trinity's coaches. 2nd half was ST X mistake after mistake but give Trinity the nod in creating those mistakes.

4th down and 8 at the 22, snap over the Head of Gahafer, he throws it up for grabs, Moeller intercepts, Game Over Moeller wins 34-27!

Tigers get 2 fortunate penalties, first a personal foul and then defensive holding negated a Moeller interception. Little over 3 minutes remaining and Tigers have the ball deep in Crusader territory at the 13. Field Goal attempt good 34-27 Moeller.

My thoughts on these candidates Serious thoughts...... What about Ty Scroggins from Central? Is there another coach that has done more ( except Coach Beatty and Mueller) ? What about Mark Sanders from Iroquois? Scott Carmony from Butler- took over a 0-11 team in 2008 and made the semifinals of the state last year with an 11-3 record? Not so serious.... What about Will Stein as OC next year? He is in graduate school now. What about Bob Crable, former Moeller HC and ND and New York Jets LB that got ousted at Moeller? What is Tommy Johnson ( Lou Fire) doing these days? What about Bill Glaser named as interim?

Exactly my point. Trinity parents are proud of football and X parents are not willing to stay only on football because of the choices. 2 different beliefs.

This post just pinpoints the differences in the schools. Inside the Trinity program, it is special to be a part of the championships, both as a starter and a backup. Many choose Trinity because of the storied tradition and like the house system, it has great value just being part of the group and contributing. Being part of the St X program is a great honor also. But...if you are a 2nd teamer or a 3rd teamer, many of the kids choose to do other things during the fall. Like soccer, winners of 4 out of the last 5 state championships, or golf runner up this year and state champ last year, or cross county, state champ this year, or just playing fall baseball, state semifinalist last year. There are choices, great choices, rather than sitting and watching and watching, and watching and maybe he can get in. There are Trinity parents and kids who want to get into the game more but love the championships. They are extremely loyal to the Trinity program. There are X parents and kids who want more football championships but love the avenues and opportunities the other sports give/gave them. They make the choice to stay entirely loyal to their sons. This isn't to say Trinity parents aren't loyal to their sons or X parents aren't loyal to the football program. This isn't to say one is better than the other. It is where the differences are drawn.

Lets not compare apples and oranges. Coach Joe is one of the greatest people in the whole world but Coach Glaser has multiple state championship rings. I would compare that to asking why Coach Lampley hasn't replaced every other Coach at Trinity except the Cross Country and wrestling coach if they are okay with the status quo. Let me address something about "grade school", "predictable", and whatever description you wish to call the St X program. Ball control and defense seems to work for Alabama and Uof L but not at St X right now? We lost 5 games, 3 to undefeated teams( when we played them), and 1 to Riverview. The change would have to happen at the freshmen level and work its way through the 4 years. St X threw 2 less passes than Trinity in the latest game and lost by 36. Inside the stats, we had a 17 play drive where we ran it 13 times and dropped back to pass 4 times, completing 2 of 3 and sacked once. George Stone ran it for our only score. Our Qb this year was good at scrambling, but not your typical drop back passer. Before we dismiss the program, remember that they can only do what they can do. Part of coaching is getting your QB ready but I seem to remember Coach Curry at UK trying to get Tim Couch to run the option. There are no Tim Couchs currently at St X. There are no James Quicks, Daylen Dawkins, Ryan Whites, either. Maybe the tide changes in 2 years. Maybe it doesn't.

Are you serious? The #1's for X are seniors and that will be the last play for most of them for the rest of their lives. Trinity has a game next week. Why not pull them unless you don't think 29-6 is impressive enough, 36-6 isn't either and 42-6 isn't either. Quick is out due to injury, but Dawkins is still running the ball on the last drivebehind the #1 offensive line? Under 3 minutes and up 42-6? Scheme and play calling when its 42-6? Take a knee....

Hats off to the Trinity team and we will be pulling for you to finish off the season with the National Championship. Going out tonight and hope to see Tony D and the boys. I can only hope that this doesn't turn bad for the Tigers. Only thing I see is Mattingly doing the Tim Tebow and running for scores. The suspension will hurt as Ryan White can only guard 1 side of the field. In the regular season game, the Tigers threw away from him in the 1st half and then Trinity flipped him over to the weak side corner. Tonight, roll away from Hatcher and throw away from White and maybe, maybe we get 21 points. Can we hold Trinity to under 21? Not with T's current personnel. I don't think Travis Wright gets enough credit for getting positive yards in almost every play. The bubble screens to Quick are just killers-give credit to the other receivers who get out there and block. Special teams? The punt return from Ryan White against Moeller was just a thing of beauty-first move miss, good cutback blocking, speed, etc. My heart says different but my head says 35-14 America's Team. But if my Tigers somehow pull the miracle of miracles, I will be there....

I've seen other teams use air cards from the visitor stands at Maxwell- Is this a situation where Male says no to radio crew being in the press box and Trinity radio says no to broadcasting from the visitor side? Moeller did the same thing to Louisville St Xavier earlier this year.

I was impressed on the 2ns td pass that he took a simple square in and turned and went the distance. X played a lot of" no safety" defense against Moe completely taking the run away. The last TD was under a minute and I thought they were going to take a knee. One play fake later and it was a 38 yard TD. Moeller's back up is more of a drop back passer than their starter so we saw how good Madaris can be.
