Hazard, Powell, Breathitt, or JBS. It's really a toss up.

WOW!! This is a major shocker, i know it was at Wolfe, but Lee co. is a 20 point better team than Wolfe...at least. What happened here?

How many pts. did Neeley have? How's he been doing?

Saw this one coming. Good win for the dawgs. Seems that Knott caught Hicks on an "ON" night. Knott on the other hand are very scrappy and can play with anyone in the region.

What is wrong with them that is making them play so poorly?

Should be a good one. I'll take Powell - 5+, Powell seems to have the ball rolling right now and are on a 3 game win streak, and just recently won the Cougar Classic at Letcher County Central. (the cite of the regional tourney). Good luck to both teams! Can't wait for this one:banana: :ylsuper:

That's unbelievable! If this is true..then can't we factor in Breathitt ..with JBS and Hazard for the regional title. (since everyone thinks one of the two will win it, hands down) If this is the same Breathitt team that i've seen in the past then there are many teams in the region that should be factored in. Powell and Lee IMO would have a good chance of beating Breathitt co.. Seems that the Region is shaping up to be another up for dibs season just like in previous years. IMO the Region could be won by 5 teams, no particular order. Breathitt, Powell, Hazard, JBS, Lee

Wow! Is Hazard in a slump?, are they "overrated"? or is Breathitt highly underrated and alot better than what everyone thought? Breathitt played them in a close one earlier this season as well, lost by 2 i believe.

The Pirates take the Whitaker bank Cougar Classic at LCC. Powell comes up with another good win. A win by 35 in a championship game isn't what i would've prodicted, but the Pirates seemed to come out of the gate, firing on all cylinders on defense and offense. Cordia shouldnt of won the game from the start. Powell did however get out to a very poor start and Cordia was playing about as well as they could. Powell can't continue to come out flat anymore. If the Pirates come out ready against the same Cordia team, I don't see it being very close. Cordia as a very good team.

Good win for Pirates, in a poor officiated game. Cordia lead the entire game until the 4th quarter, seems that Powell has some fight in them. Center, Ryan Romans came up with a steal in the final seconds of OT to put Powell up by 2. Good Win Pirates!!:dancingpa

To me, JBS is overrated. Sorry. I'm going to call the Mason co. game a big fluke. Sorry. Don't get me wrong, JBS has a great team, but I still can't see them taking the 14th. Stepp, Cox and Collins are all tough, but like i've said before...if you control Stepp at all, descently, or so much to say, slightly. Hold him to 15 points and Jbs can be beat. Hazard on the other hand has a tough all around team, lead by Justin Hicks at the point. A team from the mtns. such as Hazard will always get good pull, from not only fans, but yes, referees. I see solid, all-around good ball clubs in Powell, Lee, and Perry. Leading me to my to my final point. If you look back through the years, 9 times out of 10 the "favorite" has'nt ended up the victor.

I'll take Montgomery by 15+. in the Semi's.

He played pretty well. Powell seemed to handle the big man for Cumberland (#42) pretty well. Romans played well for Powell. Tough down low, tough to guard one-on-one. When Romans is on and Powells bench is productive, Powell is a very hard team to beat. I have to say, Powell might have what they need to win the 14th this year.

Good win for the Pirates...like to see Powell get on track and win LCC's tourney. Powell vs. Cordia tomorrow night, 6 p.m.

If Mason and JBS meet in the final of the 5/3rd , given that JBS makes it that far... Mason would beat JBS by around 25. Still have to believe the boys in the mtns. got some home cookin'.

Good showing for the 14th Region and Powell co., playing right with one of Louisvilles' top teams at this point in the season. I believe they have beat PRP, come within four of Butler and Fairdale, and beat 2 good teams, Seneca and Southern.

I'm thinking JBS is a little over-rated. Great team, but from what i've read on BGP.. JBS should blow KCC out of the water. Doesnt seem that this happened. Tough loss for KCC, but this may bring some people's senses back down to reality.

Powell seems to be playing extremely well right now. Havent had the chance to make it to any 13th region games, but i've heard Cumberland has shaped up into a pretty decent team. I'll take Powell in this one, by 10.
