JBS 69 Knott Central 64

Recommended Posts

Both teams are very talented and very solid. I am a KCC fan and may be a little biased but this game could have went either way. A couple calls late in the game espically one when KCC had a lay up to pull within two was called back for stepping on the baseline on the other end. Stepp and Cox played a great game and I think this rematch should be a great one. Anybody know the date??

I was one who opened my mouth last year and said JBS was a little over rated, but when it came down to it, they were in the thick of things taking Hazard to OT in the semi. Jackson City was said to be over rated last season also but they proved to be a top dog. JBS (IMO) is the team to go through to make it to Lexington in March.

I think Jbs has a good basketball team. But i don't think that they have proven to be a top 25 team. Playing Mason down to the wire doesn't exactly mean they deserve to be in the top 25. Jbs almost pulled the upset, but small schools in any sport at any level always play their best game to try and knock off the big school. Time will tell whether or not Mason had an off night or if Jbs has a top 25 team.

I'm thinking JBS is a little over-rated. Great team, but from what i've read on BGP.. JBS should blow KCC out of the water. Doesnt seem that this happened. Tough loss for KCC, but this may bring some people's senses back down to reality.

It doesnt matter how the game goes people are saying JBS is over-rated. When they lost to Mason Co on a last second shot they say Mason played bad. When they beat an in-county rival in a closer than expected game then they are overated. JBS led by 15 with 2:18 left on the clock and Knott Central hit 4 threes to make the game exciting. Hats off to Knott Co for not giving up and to JBS for beating a good Knott team that was undefeated.

I agree. JBS is a quality team and with KCC being an in county foe I think it was a great win. I haven't seen a better team in the 14th yet and Hazard is the only one I haven't seen play.

I don't think JBS is over rated or that KCC is uner rated. This is a rivalry game and when rivals meet you will get both teams' best. That is what happened. However, JBS had a 14 point lead late and KCC made a great run late. It was a very good game.

They are good but top 25???? I think you are kidding yourself....

The only thing rankings are good for is to give us basketball fans something to argue about. I think the key to how good JBS becomes depends on how much they involve their big guys in the mix. They have tremendous size and they need to use this more to free up some easier shots for Cox and Stepp. I am not sure if they are a top 25 team but I know they probably could be many top 25 teams on a given night.
