Justin Wakefield who was a 2 year starter at South Oldham (OLB #45) was seriously injured (head injury) in a one car accident on his way to work Sunday. He is stable but in critical condition. He is a great person. Keep him in your prayers.

Jefferson County does not have Middle School football. So schools like Male does not have a feeder system with the kids coming in already knowing the system. The plus side to this is that schools in Jefferson Co. can tap into a variety of Optimist League/M. Ali league teams.

With a tee in high school but the NFL/College is with no tee. There is a big difference.

"Supply and Demand" More bleachers= more seating= more available tickets= cheaper tickets=which means a lower bottom dollar for the school. This school's (Southlake Carroll) unofficial motto "Dominate in everything from Academics to debate team to Athletics". By the way this school is very top notch in academics and other sports. They have divided their 11 & 12 graderrs into one school and the 9 & 10 graders into another building. I feel that this a great way of starting a new school when you town's population out grows a school building. Imagine how some of these counties who have made new schools would be better (i.e.= Bullitt, Oldham, Laurel, etc.) in all aspects.

How much do they have to pay UC to use the field?

So is Jacob Kern LB/OL from South Oldham (will play DL) 6'1 260 lbs. Had a great career at South. 3 year starter who was a great role model.

Is Hunter playing next year? He played at South Oldham for two years. Very big hitter for his size. I hope he is playing.

UK does not play as tough of a schedule. What does not kill you only makes you better in the playoffs.

Which is defined by what? John L. Smith has the best coaching job in America this year. He was paid over 2 million (I think) and does not coach. Now his EGO is bruised but his stress level is lower, no more time away from family, and bank account is probably ok as well. My point is EGO is the reason that many coaches take a medicore job instead of taking an asst. coaching job at a great situation. Do not judge the best jobs on Wins and Losses.

By the way how is a good job defined? Support from the adminstration? Pay (teacher/coaching)? Teaching Schedule? How many asst. in the building? Feeder Programs? Fan Support? Budget/Fundraising?

Why is Prestonsburg a tough job?

Sam Harp loves to WIN. No matter which sport. I would say that with his name on the program as the AD then he would want to win.

I agree. I am not sure if some of the other kids can play LB or not but I do know that Flynn and Gamsky (South Oldham) were some of the best LB's in the state last year. Where is Flynn going to school?
