A few shots

I just hate reading these stories about girls tearing their ACL's. It just happens way, way too much. ACL tears are terrible but bilaterals and regrafts are especially tough. However, recovery is certainly possible and I've prayed for her surgery and healing.

For whatever reason, Hatton seems to have his best games against SK.

It has been a long time since I took a logic class but are you saying the Manual players are recruited from middle schools and don't have high ACT scores? I didn't understand the phrase highly chased. If I had a child playing on Manual's team, I would have certainly found your comment that the smart kids beat the athletes as impertinent.

Wow, that's an interesting game anaylsis. FYI, Manual is a Magnet school with some very interesting ACT stats on their website; their average for the kids in the school is a 26. Yep; I saw them both several times in Lexington and wouldn't have guessed it would have happened. Glad I'm wrong. The one thing I do like about Mercy is their guard play. The way to to keep Manual from scoring is to take care of the rock which keeps them from getting their fast breaks and quick points.

I saw Scott last night and I'm trying not to be too critical but I'm not sure things are going to turn around for them anytime soon unless this group of 8th graders are ready to play varsity right away.

I'll go Walton. I think their December schedule helps them in January.

They are shaping up to be one of those teams that may not be a favorite to win the region but one of those teams you don't want to play. Gaining consistency and overcoming their youth will be their challenge until post season starts. A really tough part of their schedule coming up; Ryle, NDA, Walton, New Cath, Boone, Conner, and Campbell in that order.

Panda- with respect to Mason County, I would say that it is the most exciting place to see a game. 10th Region Fans are the best at regional time. But I still think HC has the back in history atmosphere. If you don't get to Mason County 90 minutes before tip for a regional final, you don't get in: More Law Enforcement: The atmosphere this night was unreal; did anyone ever sit down?

Hands down for me; Henry County. The bleachers, rafters, scoreboard, darkness, concession stands, deputys and constables, floor, size/capacity and the sound booth that you can see a little bit of in the jump ball picture. Just still feels like old time basketball even after the rennovations.

I haven't seen PCC but I've watched Manual 3 times and I am very impressed. I haven't seen a team as good as Manual since the Sacred Heart team a few years back. They really don't run a whole lot of set offense; they spread the floor, drive and shoot or dish. Tough part of their game is defense. One thing for sure, when you play them, the game is in the air. Block in the middle picture was unreal.

Barring something unforseen, I don't think so. What a collection of athletes.

Agree Mad, she is definitely the early season POY in 8th. Lots of action to come.

This is the finish on that drive. Cook is fast; top 4 finisher in state 400 AAA track meet last spring.

AC too low. Maybe have them 1 and WV as 2 but at the end of the year, I still think AC is the team to beat.
