Powell has struggled lately on the road against some tough 14th region teams. Perry Central has been a different team as of late. Both should be ready to go by district time.

Cordia and Estill County are my upset picks. JBS and Hazard will both have to play flat to be beaten.

Time for JBS to circle the wagons.

What's up with the Lady Owls? I just saw on KHSAA that they lost to Jackson City 66-16. Does anyone have any details?

Powell County vs. Magoffin County cancelled.

Owsley County keeps it close. Coach Noble has his players playing well at the right time.

Final. Estill County won 10 of last 14 games. Coach McKinley has his young girls playing well.

This year as a whole I have witnessed more poor sportsmanship from players and coaches than I have seen in the past three or four years combined. What is the problem?

I don't think that I would want to be the favorite to win the 14th region given the recent history. Over the last 3 years the favorites have been knocked out and a team around the top has won the region. 2007 Favorites Perry Central and Estill County--- Letcher Central wins 2006 Big Favorite Leslie County --- Powell County wins 2005 Favorites Leslie County and Powell Co. --- Perry Central wins

Young Cardinals hang around in big games. The experience will pay off in the future. Good win for Mason County.

Coach Ligon will get his team ready for another run. These players will band together behind their coach after a few bumps in the road.

Owsley County is playing much better now, but LCC too much for them. LCC by 15.
