  1. I still think there is a chance of him not getting to play next year. I may be wrong but two years ago there was a sistutation like this at Elliott County, where a kid transfered to Morgan County. The family sold thier home and rented an apartment in Morgan County. His reason for transfering was to "obtain the benefit of AP classes" which MC offered and EC didnt. Even with a legitament move and legitament reason for moving, he was still ruled ineligible.
  2. East Carter will suprsise alot of people next year. The most athletic team in the region with possibly the two most improved players in the region(Tyler Jackson and Colt Barnhill).
  3. From an outsiders opinion. 1. Josh Crawford-Corbin 2. Desmond Johnson-Cumberland 3. Cody Miller-Knox Central 4. Nick Brumback-Jackson County 5. Dustin Day-Pineville
  4. Very impressive showing by the 16u team. The highlight of the weekend had to be the first round tourney win over Team Kobe/Philly Soul. The team was sponsered by Kobe Bryant and the rumor around the tourney was that 4 of their 6 players were being recruited by high major d-1 programs. Villinova was there watching the game. Very good weekend for the DS all stars.
  5. Your right Fan, if the KHSAA feels as if he is tranfering for athletic reasons only then he will be ruled ineligible. Im not saying thats what the kid is doing or what the KHSAA is going to rule, just saying that they make the call and I know I have seen people in this type of situation be suprised by the ruling of the Athletic Association.
  6. This video is almost a hour and a half long. When it is all put together it is very, very good.
  7. The video was made by Kevin Griffith, the art teacher and middle school basketball coach at Elliott Co high school. The music is done by Dale Ferguson, father of Jonathan Ferguson. He wrote, played and sang the song.
  8. He wasnt injuried all summer, he played all through June. He was practing before that just wasnt taking any chances on injuring his ankle again at the first of the summer.
  9. KC Pump-N-Run played in the championship aganist DC Assualt, which DS 16U both played in pool games. KC won the tournament, which DS beat in thier pool play game.
  10. I dont know if there is a lineup of teams or not but Elliott Co will be there.
  11. Elliott County High School will be participating.
  12. Shawnta Zachery performed very well at the Blue-Chip camp this past week.
  13. To add to bball's list Aaron Morris - Madison Central Micheal Sparks- Tates Creek
  14. Knipp is going to suprise people this year with how much he has matured as an athlete. Hall is going to have a good season, but I think he might struggle with the transaction from 2G to PG when facing a good on the ball defender. Maverick Barnhill of East Carter is also going to suprise people. Much improved from last season.
  15. Just cause they are talking to a ref during the course of the game does not mean they are complaining.
  16. But yet you keep bashing them in this thread and other threads.
  17. I also wanted to add this. Elliott County is veiwed as an offense team because they score alot of points, but in order for them to score a high number of points they must create alot of possesions for themselves or they couldnt do it. How do they get those extra possesions? They create them with thier defense. They get steals and cause turnovers which allows them to score points. You can't just be an offense team and win the number of games they won, plus a district and regional title. Their team this year was solid on defense, espically through tournament time.
  18. You see things that not many people see. I hardly ever see an offical get onto one of the players. Or any of the player talk trash. I am not going to say it never happens because this stuff sometimes does take place with all teams, not just Elliott Co. About the parents. I can't think of one game that a players parent got ejected from the game. But what does that have anything to do with the players. Talk to the newspaper people, ask the radio guys, even asks the officals that you talk about and I would bet that they all say the kids play as hard as any team in the region and play very unselfish. And above all of these things I guarentee you that they say the players are class acts.
  19. 25-7 record Runner-up regular season EKC 16th Region class "A" champs 62nd District Champs 16th Region Champs Won a game at the state tournament But they don't play any defense.:thumb:
  20. None of these players are out for theirself. They are a very close team and are all best friends. They have only lost one game this summer to a pretty good Fern Creek team and they was missing Timmy Knipp when they lost it. They won all their games at the Fairview Team Camp by 25+ and most of the games were around the 40-50 point area.
  21. I said that wrong. They won all their games 25+
  22. You may be right. I will say I have only seem them play one time this summer but they played very well the time I watched. How many of the 7th region teams do you think will be in the top 25? Aren't most the the teams in that region this year pretty young?
  23. They didnt lose a game by less than 25 points at the Fairview Team Camp and didnt score less than 85 points in 6 games.
  24. Manuel and Fern Creek are prob the only top 25 teams from the 7th. The 7th is down this year.
