  1. Just had a co worker leave here in pill hill to head to Fort Thomas, says the roads are deceiving, very slick, everyone be safe out there.
  2. Certified Professional Coder and Medical Assistant at Cincinnati Children's Hospital
  3. Grew up on Dixie, buy it by the case at the grocery to use at home, my all time favorite. Gold Star is the one I go out for, Skyline will do in a pinch. Nothing like Dixie on Monmouth Street at 2 in the morning!!
  4. Call Cigna and explain to them the situation, I work in health insurance everyday getting things approved for patients. Cigna will be able to check the claim also to make sure it was billed right. Good Luck!
  5. Well since all the guys are listing their fav girls...my favorite "boy" would have to be Riggins, really good eye candy!
  6. Thin Mints will only allow myself to order 2 boxes...unless after I run out and they just happen to be sitting outside Kroger/Walmart selling!
  7. Please try to listen to this with your heart not your ears/eyes. Hear the words, not the color of the person speaking.
  8. Congrats to Austin, love to watch you on the field you are awesome!! Congrats to Holly and Cris too!
  9. Prayers to your community and his family from the softball world in Pendleton Co.
  10. No I work at Children's Hospital, no cuts here!
  11. Am here until 2pm today, not sure why because everywhere I try to call out too is closed for the holiday!! Not getting too much done...
  12. Thanks for that walk down history lane, that was my first State Championship game I ever went to!!
  13. I am not sure what Steve would say either, I do know he is one of the biggest supporters of the tradition at HHS.
  14. Not sure what the insurance company will do but I truly hope the cannon stays put. One freak accident in 40 years should not silence the cannon.
  15. I cannot begin to tell you the miles I have wracked up over the past 5 years following a team that was/is brand new. Each game I went to and supported the boys on the field even though I was close to 99.9% sure of a loss. I have been around high school football since I was 6 yrs old and my brother played at Highlands, to me it is in my blood. Knowing those kids on the field and watching them grow kept me in the stands every Friday night no matter where they were. Now that my daughter has graduated, I spent some Fridays in Ft Thomas and some at my home stadium. I love Friday nights in the fall!
  16. Prayers to Steve and his family, get well soon!!
  17. I would have moved back to my home town when my child started school. I think she would have gotten a much better education and more opportunities in the sports world.
  18. "One problem is the Sunday before the State game the city has a Christmas walk thru town and a tree lighting. All the stores participate. Stores aren't really all the willing to paint up their windows blue and white when they are expected to showcase their stores for a Christmas event. Of course, it wouldn't matter to me if I owned a store, I would have a BLUE Christmas theme." I understand the whole Christmas walk with the stores but Christmas comes every year and while the older folk in town may think the football team wins every year...it is a once in a lifetime for the young ones. I know that like BF said I am preaching to the choir here but some of my best memories of my teen years include painting the windows uptown, meeting with the friends to paint fingernails one blue one white, one blue one white sock and so on. My house was very busy on Friday's after school till the walk to the field.
  19. I was actually thinking of riding through "town" today after work to see the store windows. Makes me sad knowing it doesn't happen any more. I can remember raiding the art class for paint and practically running to Wiedeman's or Shulker's windows after school. BF you are right, those were the good old days!
  20. This was Teegarden's 3rd season and he is only the 2nd coach. There is a feeder program that has been around for at least a good 8-9 years in a pee wee/grade school league. IMHO, the problem with the sports program at PC is the lack of experience in the coaching staffs, not only in football either. The coaches are hired get a few years under their belts and leave voluntarily or not. But they have had the same athletic director for what seems like a 100 years.
  21. I understand that both teams split the field for warm ups, but this program for the seniors took place directly before the national athem would have been played. Just like in volleyball, my daughter's teams did not practice on the other side of the court during the senior night festivities, they warmed up prior too. Just felt that this was a little disrespectful.
  22. I do not understand the rights of the home team here. I was amazed this past Friday night that as our seniors and their parents were announced, the opposing team did not stop their practice on the field. Balls were being kicked thrown whatever into the area where the seniors and their parents were walking/standing. I know that opposing team had to travel a couple of hours to our facility, but out of respect and common courtesy I would have thought they could have taken 10 minutes off the field to let the seniors have their moment. Any thoughts?
  23. IMO they should start the game with running clock. PC doesn't have a real passing game and the only running game they have comes from pure heart and desire. This will be very ugly...my only prayer is that no one gets injured.
  24. Good Luck Birds at state. On a side note, I just wanted to publically thank the HHS Athletic Boosters for their contribution to the Katie Shell memorial fund.
