  1. Got the fingers and toes crossed for a PC win, would love to see the seniors go out on a win!! Good Luck boys!
  2. We used to have the grandchildren swap presents, there were six of them all around the same age. Lost the oldest one a few years back and it just was never the same. Each of the kids families would buy for the grandparents but they now are gone too. Now we just buy for our own family and try to have dinner with the siblings/families. Not sure what will happen within the next couple of years, suddenly I have 2 great nephews and 1 great niece with 2 more on the way next year.
  3. Is this game on Thursday? Announcements from PCHS says game is on Saturday at 3pm?
  4. Let's try reverse psychology Here's hoping it works!!
  5. Walking in and just looking at Nicholas Co. made me question PC's ability to win this one. Nicholas has some big boys on their line, both O and D. PC did look flat in the 1st of the game, Nicholas marched down the field and there wasn't anything PC could do to stop them. Has anyone heard how PC's lineman #76, Hunter is? He left the game and was taken to the hospital for possible concussion? That was crucial loss for PC. Although there is nothing like watching #3 Stegman run with the ball. Doesn't matter who he is up against, that boy will do anything to gain yardage. #2 Eshman can do all, he has got an arm on him, should look at that angle a little more, IMO. Anyone know what was up with #8 Greene? He didn't start the game but came in in the end for a couple of plays.
  6. "Pendelton wins big. #3 and #8 run hard and play hard" Like to see #2 have another game like the one against Ludlow! #3 always runs and plays hard!! Keep it up boys! "PC...whatever they want the score to be." I sure hope you are right on this! These PC kids deserve to pull one out and make it big.
  7. Again, would love to see the Wildcats take this one, but think that Harrison is too big. The Wildcats looked impressive against Ludlow last week, keep pushing boys. PB1994, appreciate the confidence in the PC kicking game, but they cannot seem to score PAT's not sure a field goal is in the making. Good Luck PC, my heart will be rooting you on!
  8. I also do not believe that Ft. Thomas is appreciated unless you see first hand what else is out there. I grew up and graduated in 1980 from HHS, my child went to different school, unfortunately, and she can tell you the difference. I had taken her to HHS football games when she was growing up because our community did not have football until she was in middle school. She is proud of roots and wears her school logos even at college, but just ask her and she will tell you she may be a wildcat 1st but she is a cake eater 2nd. The quality of education I received compared to what she received is amazing, and she graduated with honors! (Although, KERA did not exist when I was in school). Now that she is off to college, house is for sale and trying hard to get back to Ft. Thomas(I should of never left). For some it is true that once a cakeeater, always a cakeeater!
  9. My heart says PCHS will win, my head isn't so sure. The Wildcats need the win, only hope they can come together this week and get it done.
  10. I took the same trip over 35 years ago, still looks as beautiful as ever. Love it out west, thanks for the pics!
  11. I absolutely loved high school...our class was very close. To this day we have had a reunion every 5 years since 1980! The last one was our 25th and attendance was down a bit. I still hang with 6 girlfriends from high school, we try to get together at least every 3 months.
  12. Pendleton is alot better than last season they lost nobody. Just to clarify, PC lost a couple of big guys off the O line...
  13. Totally agree MVP. Thanks for starting this thread, this has been a trip down memory lane for sure. 25 yrs and plus and still a cakeeater at heart!!
  14. I watched the high school all american game on Saturday for a while hoping that Allen would of been there. I missed her if she was there, anyone know for sure?
  15. I know the girls will miss Ballinger but this is great news! Good luck to the ladycats next season!!
  16. Anyone seen Escape from Sobiborg? Or The Pianist? My daughter had to watch The Pianist in one of her classes and she made me rent it later to watch, found it very good.
  17. Had trees and such down in Butler last night on my way to Falmouth, same area that was hit years ago, houses looked okay but big trees toppeled over. Be safe!
  18. My daughter mixed ketchup and tartar sauce for her fries. I like applesauce on my salmon patties. I also eat applesauce on my mashed potatoes. I have a neice and my daughter who dip green beans in ketchup. And yes do believe that milk with cake is universal!
  19. If you remember Rinks then how about Ontario's. That used to be the Saturday shopping, Walgreen's for medicine, Rink's for groceries and Ontario's for just about anything else...and an occasional trip to Van Leunens and/or Gold Circle.
